COMMENTS: I don't like this scent at all. Out of the bottle I was immediately regretting this purchase. It smells like the disinfectant used in a porta potty. Reading multiple CP makers speaking of ricing and seizing..ugh.

COMMENTS: Honestly this is almost exactly what I think winter smells like. It's so close it hurts! I used in a bunch of my melt and pour line as well as bath bombs and truffles etc. and all have been great and a huge selling point in the winter months! I even at one point mixed this with another scent and reinvented it and they flew off the shelves!!

COMMENTS: This is a pretty nice scent, very fresh. It smells like trees, outdoors on a winter day, but it also reminds me of soap - not in a bad way though. I like the scent and it has a good cold and hot throw. We used it in wax melts. It's a nice addition to your winter lineup.

COMMENTS: I really like the fragrance but it certainly riced and accelerated on me! I wish I'd made a test batch before making a 4# log but that's my bad. On the other hand, it's not a total loss because the family will use it up. Will I give it a second chance? Yes, but in a 1# batch.

COMMENTS: Based on reviews I thought this one would be workable and smell nice for a snow scent. I used a slow moving recipe and soaped at around 95 and it seized within seconds. It also discolored to a weird highlighter yellow after it was in the mold even though I used a vanilla stabilizer. The scent isn't worth the trouble in my opinion, it's nice, but just ok. Definitely need to whisk the fragrance into this one and it would probably be a lot better as I did this with the middle portion of my layered soap and the batter was quite loose. It wants to rice and seize and discolor, the evil trifecta for soapers. Overall not impressed.

COMMENTS: I made CP soap with this scent. I made 2 test batches. CP is still curing..2 more weeks to go...Scent is staying very well in the CP. Had no problems with this scent in CP with my recipe! Also used this scent in wax melts and I have sold out of this scent in this product! I will be buying more of this to keep permanently in my scent line. I am looking forward to putting it in other product I make.

COMMENTS: I made a small 1 lb batch to test and it riced and accelerated. I did use a water discount, so next time I'll try with full water. Was trying to do a ice blue mica swirl with white, we'll see how it did with the ricing. I can deal with the acceleration in small batches. Glad I tested first instead of my usual 5 lbs. If all goes wrong, I'll have some nice soap for my shower. One of my favorite scents I've ordered.

It does discolor to a tan/light brown. Not the most attractive for a 'snow' scented soap so I just changed the name. It gave me no trouble in the soap making process.
We also use it in beeswax candles and it works quite well.

COMMENTS: This is a beautiful fragrance! A very soft and complex oil! Mint has been tempered with a bit of pine, jasmine, and vanilla as the description says, resulting in a gorgeous fragrance. This is not a candy cane/peppermint type fragrance. When I lathered up the soap I noticed the mint seemed to really shine, but still in a softer way.
With ten years of soap making experience under my belt and having worked with many oils I would definitely say that this is NOT an oil for anything less than an experienced cp soap maker. It did rice and accelerate, but I was still able to work with it and will be able to sell the bars just fine. I fought off discoloration by using td with my lab color, so the resulting effect was a lovely blue. When I put the soap to bed it also got blazing hot, and I was concerned, but no volcanos or tunnels occurred. In retrospect, I think I will treat it as a floral fragrance and soap at lower temps on my next batch.
I would absolutely buy this oil again!

COMMENTS: First thought was "what does this smell have to do with Christmas?!" However, once used I could pick out the different scents, it all came together as the soap processed. It did not rice on me, more like one or two concentrated clumps that were easily worked out, was able to get a great thick soap base that easily sculpted on top to look like snow drifts. Will buy again.

COMMENTS: I love fall and winter scents, I am addicted to them. However I don't like super fruit or fresh scents. I like them to be borderline masculine if that makes sense haha. This scent is exactly that it's a fresh snow scent but with a masculine warm back note. I used this scent first in beeswax wax melts and then in M&P it worked amazing in both. The scent throw from the wax tart pushes out my closed door into the hall! My mother picked out this scent for custom melts after I read her the discription. She loves it as well and wants me to stock up!( we secretly like to use all scents all year round )

COMMENTS: Let me start by saying, "Love It." When I first received First Snow, I found the scent very strong and not too pleasant. I used it in my cold process soap, it did not seizing or cause any negative reaction in the soap mix. After cutting the soap, it had a strong and somewhat strange scent. When the soap cured, It smelled Wonderful Fresh and Crisp. I love the scent and just cannot get enough of it. I used 1.5 oz in 44 oz of fats, has a strong scent. LOVE IT!!!

COMMENTS: The description of this scent is right on, each scent comes through on its own. I made a blue and white layered soap to represent the first snow of the season, "First Snow" is fitting. I can't wait to give it as Christmas gifts.

COMMENTS: This is very unique holiday scent that can certainly be used year round. Very light on the mint, but it's there. Hints of fruit and floral are delicately intertwined with sweet mint in the background. Wonderfully different with excellent balance and depth. Used in CP soap at 1 oz per pound of oil (about 6%) and had no acceleration while swirling three colors. Uncolored portion has immediate discoloration to light tan, which I expected and planned for. Tan will probably get darker. Very workable for me in CP and set up nicely when I needed it to. Just as fabulous in lotion. I really, really like this. Highly recommend.

COMMENTS: Love that you can smell the pine but it's not overpowering! A great holiday scent! Add a bit of glitter or sparkling mica in your holiday soaps with this scent! You'll have a great gift or seller!

COMMENTS: Soaped great in both CP and M&P. No ricing, or acceleration. This one has 2% vanilla content so I am expecting some discoloration. To me, the scent is light, fresh, crisp and more of a perfume scent. I know the name evokes a winter season scent, but I say, change the name and use it year round!

COMMENTS: Its like smelling the air of the first snow fall on a cool crisp cold winter's night. Cool, Crisp & Clean smelling. Even though this is more of a winter scent, I do sell this year round by changing the name to chill. Great scent for chill pill soaps.
