Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. For added safety, clamp the edges. Slowly pour melted soap no hotter than 130ºF into mold. Allow soap to harden then open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars.
Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together, and clamp the edges. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Care: Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.

"learning curve" |
COMMENTS: There is a bit of a learning curve with this mold, but once you know what you're doing it's great. I used it to make CP soap for a baby shower treat bag. I made a pink gingerbread soap column (the baby was a girl), let it set up overnight and made the rest of the batch the next day. I did not cut the gingerbread soap before the embed, I cut the finished soap with the embed at the same time. I turned out great and was a big hit at the shower. I never had a leak but there was some extra soap on the top and bottom from the seams that was not difficult to remove. I also have have the pine tree mold and love it too. The key to not having the mold distort is to use soap at a thicker trace, and then support the mold on the sides. I also have the pine tree mold and it makes a lovely column of soap as well.

"So Fun To Add Shapes Into Soaps" |
COMMENTS: I love all of the silicone column molds. It is kind of tricky when you first start using them as you have to make sure you have them well sealed all the way around, but once you master that, it is a breeze. I love putting them in my M & P loves for added character in my bars.

"SO CUTE!" |
COMMENTS: This mold was easy to fill, I had no problem with the seams leaking as stated in the Heart mold. The first fill did bow a bit in the middle, so I waited for a bit thicker trace on the second attempt. It unmolds easily, and little clean up is needed after. I am deciding on which one to choose next:) I don't use colors, so I am using the vanilla content to my advantage, filling the mold with unscented soap and placing the white Gingerbread man in a soap that has a color or vise versa. The mold is shorter than my bar mold, so I cut the Gingerbread soap to the match the length up to the last bar. Not sure what I'm going to do with the little Gingerbread men pieces left over, but I'm sure I'll find something!!!
