What better way to advertise your soaps are handmade than by literally writing that on the bars? The Handmade Soap Mold Tray is effective and to the point. And with its decorative floral border, it's pretty, too!

Points of Interest:
Manufacturer: Milky Way Molds

Milky Way Soap Molds can tolerate temperatures of 135ºF to145ºF. Above these temperatures, warping may occur. Soap is easiest to release 12-24 hours after cooling.
Wash molds in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF into mold. Cool until soap has hardened. Remove soap from mold, and slice into bars. For easier unmolding, place into freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat mold.
Cold Process Soap: Coat the mold with cooking spray. Pour soap at trace into mold. After 24 hours, flip mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release then pull the soap out of the mold with a gloved hand. Slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Lotion Bars: Pour melted lotion bar mixture into mold at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow mixture to solidify. Flip mold over onto clean surface. Gently push back of mold until lotion bar begins to release then pull bar out of mold. Slice into lotion bars.
Care:
Wash in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

"Great Mold" |
COMMENTS: Great mold! Did two batches of cold process and key is to let dry 72 hours minimum because my recipe is high in olive oil. I ruined the first batch by being impatient! After testing on 2nd with no issues, I rebatched original one and used mold again. For rebatch it dried 4 full days and then put in freezer last few hours because it still clung to letters. It popped right out with light pressure on bottom and love the cutting lines. Size and shape of bar is perfect!

"LOVE MW MOLDS!!!" |
COMMENTS: I just love these affordable, cute molds!! My MW mold addiction began with the Handmade Guest Size mold and I loved it so much I had to have MORE!! Customers loved the fact the soaps clearly stated "Handmade", so naturally I had to get it in the bigger size bar too! Using these molds is so fun & easy, and unmolding has always been a breeze! I love that they're clear so you can tap out any air bubbles, and it makes unmolding easy also, as you can actually see the seal release before the soap just pops right out! This mold makes the cutest soaps, and is so durable, it can be used many times! My first MW mold has been through at least a dozen batches now & is still in perfect condition! Cleaning is super easy as well, and at such a great price, you can afford to try out multiple designs without going broke! I absolutely LOVE these molds!! If you want to add unique and fun designs to your product line, MW molds are the way to go!

"Great for starters" |
COMMENTS: I needed a simple mold to get me started in MP Soaps. This is perfect and I do not have to try to figure out how much MP soap I need, just heat up all 2 lb of it. However does not work well if I only need to make 1/2 of the bars since it is a "tray mold" and not individually separated

"excellent mold" |
COMMENTS: I use these molds with my CP soap. They work great. I had a little trouble unmolding at first but once I figured out a good method, perfect bars every time! I leave the soap in the mold for 48-72 hours then loosen around the edge with a knife and set upside down in the sun for about 30 minutes...perfect release!

"One of these was just not enough" |
COMMENTS: I already had one of these molds and decided I just had to have another one. I like that is makes 4 oz bars which is the size I shoot for in most soap batches. Also when the soap is something other than goat milk or olive oil, etc., this mold works nicely. I'm a fan of Milky Way molds and have had great success with them.

"My favorite mold! " |
COMMENTS: I love this mold. The one word on it makes each bar seem significant and gift ready, instead of just a rectangle bar of soap. I also love pouring the entire batch at once. I never seem to fill the holes with the same amount as each other when I use the silicone molds. Clean up with this tray mold is as easy as silicone and I have no difficulties getting the soap to release.
