"do not buy for cp soap" |

COMMENTS: Just don't. Loved the scent description and got really excited to purchase and use. Out of the bottle, the scent is much muskier and smokier than expected. I was hoping for a nice green herbaceous hemp fragrance and this is NOT IT. I thought it would be better after soaping so added it to a batch (I mixed it with a little lime oil and lavender, which in the past has helped de-ccelerate my recipe, so thought it would help slow the acceleration and ricing). Brought my soap to the lightest of trace at 95 degrees F, mixed in the colorants by hand, added the fragrance at the very end stirring with a spatula. Went from smooth to horribly riced and froze in my container mid pour. Absolute worst fragrance I have ever worked with. Super disappointing-- this fragrance can only be used for non-soap purposes now.

COMMENTS: I rated this as excellent with a catch. I've not tried other "hemp" scents so I have no comparison to make, I loved the scent so thumbs up there. That being said, it was a bit tricky to work with. Hoping other soapers will be patient enough to read this review entirely so that they may have some success with it, as so many of the reviews are negative. I poured the lye into my oils at the 126-129ish degree range(I usually mix at a bit cooler than that but with the previous scent Oud and Incense, it thickened up very quickly, thinking it was the temp of the fragrance oil when added I decided to mix a bit hotter this time) Mine also started to seize. Literally instantly, but I didn't give up and put my blender down to mix with a spoon. I make both hot and cold process soap so I'm familiar with the phases batter will go through. Out of sheer shock and natural curiosity I kept mixing (really not even trying to save the batch but just studying what happened basically so I could not repeat it) and realized it started very quickly going from seized... to separating... to ricing... to the beginning of clear mashed potato gel phase. The batter had shot from 120-ish degree range to 170(I checked the temp when I realized it looked like a gel phase) as soon as I saw that, I just started gently folding the batter until it was an even consistency for spooning into the mold (first checking the ph of course which actually ended up being a bit lower on the scale that what I normally end up with). So with this scent yes it does seize, but in the end of my project I was pretty excited because I got hot process soap without having to cook it. Maybe I just got lucky and will never be able to repeat this recipe, not sure. Seizing is kind of the soapers lament so it would be great to have this scent and not have it seize.

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil not only accelerated at the speed of light “ soap on a stick “ in my main batch, but it riced as well “ horribly” in my accent color batch. I would not recommend this fragrance for cold process soap.

COMMENTS: never have I had contact with a fragrance that seizes up in about two seconds flat. Literally could almost not get the stink out of it. Have tried numerous recipes with the same disastrous result. Very sad because the scent is quite nice.

COMMENTS: I have always wanted a FO that smelled like fresh, quality marijuana flower. From the reviews I read I expected it to meet my expectations. What I got was super musky and smelled like schwag. Everyone in the house was unhappy with me soaping that day!

COMMENTS: I guess I was a bit too excited about the fragrance description and failed to carefully check the reviews of other CP soapers. Shame on me! Lesson learned the hard way with a seized batch of soap. Read the reviews!!! I gave it a second star because the scent is amazing if you're looking for an earthy/herbaceous scent.

"Great earthy scent" |

COMMENTS: This will be a new staple for me. It is great on its own and is a wonderful base note added to fragrance sprays and soy candles. Love it! The fragrance oil has a very true sandalwood aroma, with hints of patchouli without being overpowering. A very soothing, mildly sweet earthy FO!

COMMENTS: I really like this fragrance and my patchouli fan customers love it too. I think Patchouli is the dominate note in the oil. I use it in hp because of the prev. reviews about acceleration. It did not discolor and scent sticks very well. I will purchase again

COMMENTS: I am not a huge fan of the scent, but my boyfriend loves it. Scent works well in MP and is quite fragrant. Smells very green and musky. I made a batch of MP with the hemp oil base and tried out the soap myself, I could smell it on me all day.

COMMENTS: Wow! I let my neighbors husband smell this. His eyes lit up and he asked me if I would make him some soap with this scent. It has a light hemp scent and I can definitely smell the sandalwood and patchouli. This a great manly scent. It smells slightly woodsy. I don't know what vetiver is but it smells wonderful without any of the scents overpowering the other. I will order again.
