COMMENTS: Wish I had read the reviews! My mom had used once hot processing and it was just fine, I didn't think anything about it when I got it for myself and used in a cold process. My first ever seize had me at a complete loss for words. It heated up to 180F and eventually came out of it and I was able to slap it in a mold and void all of my fun plans for styling.

COMMENTS: This is such an amazing leather scent! Whenever I make soap with this, the whole batch is gone within a few weeks. Men can't get enough of it. BEWARE: This seizes almost instantly in CP soap, so you'll want to hot process this or rebatch and melt the fragrance in at the very end.

COMMENTS: This really does smell just like leather. Strong scent. I personally smell just a tiny hint of mint too. I bought this to mix with desert ghost flower. I haven't mixed them together yet but I think it's going to smell wonderful. The packing of my oils was perfect, no spills or broken bottles.

COMMENTS: I purchased this because when I told my friend that I started making my own colognes, he suggested making one that smells like leather. I searched different websites until I came here and made a small sample with it to see what everyone else around me thought about it and gauged this review based on their response. (This is because my allergies handicap my sense of smell on occasion and needed someone to tell me how it smells).
Overall, I received positive remarks and plan to keep this product in mind the next time I need it. I used the website's suggested drops and put 30 drops less than what was recommended and the shirt I used it on still smelled like it when I did laundry days later.
Because this product turned out awesome, I'm definitely going to be making my own colognes and perfumes from now on rather than buying them off of the shelves. It's so much better!

COMMENTS: I am looking for new male scents to add to my soap line, and one of my customers asked for a "leather" scent. When I found this I loved the scent out of the bottle. However, as soon as I added it to my soap it separated, hardened and turned to a mushy mess! I tried another batch just to make sure it was the fragrance oil. I mixed everything up except the fragrance, planning to add it last to assess, and the soap looked great. As soon as I added the fragrance oil it did the same thing. I will never buy this again!

COMMENTS: DO NOT USE IN COLD PROCESS SOAP!!! It will solidify almost instantly. I have a batch downstairs that I had to glop into the mold and now it is oozing oil. I'm very unhappy.
I will say the smell is on point, though. It truly does smell like leather. It's great oob. I don't know yet if it will stick or if my soap will even be salvageable. It sure is ugly right now. I'm really disappointed in this FO. It would have been a great addition to my line.

COMMENTS: I used this in a rebatch soap because the reviews on here mentioned ricing and accelerating; I had a batch of soap that I left out the castor oil on and had to mill and rebatch anyway, so I went ahead and threw this in with some lavender buds. I am new at soaping, but I LOVE this scent; it smells absolutely to die for!

COMMENTS: To be honest, I did not care for the scent of this FO initially. To me, it smelled very one-dimensional, flat & lacking character. I purchased this scent for a custom perfume order & was worried it would disappoint. So naturally, I complained to my husband! He stopped me mid-complaint & said, "Bring me the bottle." Now, mind you, my husband is a very brutally honest man. I was fully expecting him to krinkle his nose & agree with me, but the moment he smelled it, his face lit up! He explained to me that I had this scent all wrong! He said that I had grown so accustomed to smelling leather BLENDS (which is true), that I wasn't appreciating this FO for the authentic, straight-up leather that it is. He happily exclaimed that it smelled EXACTLY like his favorite leather coat, and told me to smell it again, only this time, dropping all pre-conceived notions of what I THOUGHT it should smell like, and appreciating it for what it was. I closed my eyes, took another deep whif, and you know- he was RIGHT! Suddenly images of boot shops & leather coats filled my mind, and I got an entirely new perspective of it! I still do find myself preferring blends where leather is a supporting note and not the star, but I'm so glad I changed my perception and allowed myself to appreciate this FO for what it IS, not what I WANTED it to be! When blended with the other notes incorporated into my perfumey project, it turned out being PRECISELY what my customer wanted! I DO recommend this FO! It's authentic & true, and I'm very happy to have gotten the reality check!

COMMENTS: As everyone else has mentioned it accelerates from 0-60 in no time flat. I was aware of this, so made only a 1# batch of my regular recipe (Olive, coconut, castor, avocado, lard), which uses only milk for the liquid. I had my (Milky Way) molds ready and waiting right next to where I was mixing. I kept temperatures low (oils about 86F, milk/lye about 80F)and brought the oils to a very light trace only. I didn't use any colorant, as I wasn't sure if it would discolor naturally. I had enough time to pour smoothly into my MW molds and was pretty happy about that. I left the soap on the counter top, as I usually do. I turned my back for about 10 minutes to clean up the work station and the soap started gelling!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never had a soap do that in a MW mold. I put the molds in the fridge, but there was some oil seepage. The next day (this morning) the soap looked a lot more "normal" - light colored, so almost no discoloration - the oil seems to be in the process of being absorbed back. Only time will tell on that one. I ***LOVE*** the smell and will use it again. I think next time I will put the molds directly into the fridge as soon as they are poured. I am hoping that will prevent both the gel and the seepage. I plan on making a football shaped soap on a rope with this for my boyfriend, as he loved the smell in the bottle. Wish me luck.

COMMENTS: Smells amazing, like really really amazing. I added coffee to my recipe and it reminds me of cowboys. Just had a customer try this bar at the beginning of April and she messaged me yesterday to buy 5 more bars.
Only downside...it speeds up trace super fast. Almost beat me and I was hurrying to get it in the mold before it seized completely. Add as soon as you've reached super light trace!!!

COMMENTS: If you love the scent of leather then hold on to your saddle cause this one will blow you off your horse!! Excellent scent retention and smells amazing! Like a buttery soft leather jacket. I made a 260 oz. batch of CP soap with this and blended it with 1.0 oz. of honeysuckle and it seized immediately...the honeysuckle effect. I didn't think I used enough honeysuckle to cause it but it did so I rebatched it with lavender and called it Leather 'n' Lace. That was 3 months ago...the lavender is very slight but the discernible nose will be able to pick it up. The leather is holding strong and still smells amazing. I will definitely be buying again!

COMMENTS: First of all, I absolutely love this scent. It definitely smells like the real deal. That being said, it seizes, big time in CP. I immediately threw it in the crockpot after it turned into soap on a stick and it started behaving much better. If you are looking for a leather-type scent then this is it. COMMENTS: I have tried many leather fragrances looking for the one with NO feminine purfume bottom notes this one is very close. It may be me but there is still a very slight perfume undertone but it is much lighter than any other Leather I have ever tried.

COMMENTS: I love this smell and I think it will be a big seller. The only downfall is not with the scent but with its reaction. I should have read the reviews before using so I knew that it will seize your cold process soap. I tried to get a nice swirl with some activated charcoal , well that didn't work because it locked up pretty bad. However I did manage to squish it into my planned round mold and it came out looking a little like a granite counter top. So not too bad. Some parts are a little crumbly, like blue cheese. Next time I will be using a regular square mold and will not try to incorporate other colors, natural will probably be fine for this scent anyway. Overall, i think it's a good buy and will be purchasing more in the future.

COMMENTS: This is a fun scent. ..when respected. The first time I broke it out, I threw it away. Went back to read reviews, dug it out of the trash, tried again a month later WITH A DROPPER instead of a tablespoon. Much better results. Ended up blending it at a ratio of 4:1 other fo to Leather fo. Heaven help me if I ever spill or break the bottle! Be careful ;)

COMMENTS: I have to admit that buying this fragrance oil, I had a few pre-existing ideals. I have a old leather biker jacket that I've worn for atleast a decade, and I expected it to smell like that. This is more like a brand new leather jacket, or maybe even a roll of leather waiting to be turned into boots. the scent was a lot sharper, and a lot cleaner than what I expected, but still, unmistakably, it was leather. I look forward to buying this again!

COMMENTS: When my friend told me about a leather soap scent she used I was skeptical. I thought it would smell weird, strong and not something I wanted to use. I was SO wrong! It smells more like a new car w/ a leather interior, or a new leather jacket. Not a tanned leather or earthy smell (which was my worry).
