Mango Butter is extracted from the fruit kernels of the mango tree. Pure Mango Butter is thought to exhibit excellent moisturizing properties while countering the drying effects of bar soaps and cleansers! Use Mango Butter in homemade sugar scrubs, lotion bars, soap, cuticle cream and more!

Seed produces a firm meat is rendered into a butter. Exhibits excellent moisturizing for lotions and good lubricity on skin. Readily at skin temperatures making it ideal for sticks and balms. Counters the drying effects of bar soaps and cleansers. All Natural. Expeller Pressed. Lubricant, emollient, moisturizing agent and plant derived product.

Mango Butter
Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir melted product into the oil portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lip products 5-100%, cold process soap 3-6%, lotions and creams 3-5%. Can be applied directly to the skin.
TIPS: The average melting point for the butter is 100°F. Butters provide moisturizing properties to products. To minimize greasy after feel we recommend blending with 1-3% cornstarch or isopropyl myristate. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

COMMENTS: This was a great addition to my lotion bars. I didn't like the smell when I took it out of the packaging to use it. I couldn't smell it in the bars afterwards though. Overall great product. Also, packaging it in a plastic jar with a screw on top would be better in my opinion. My butter melted some and it was stuck in the resealable part of the bag so opening it got messy.

COMMENTS: I was under the impression (even though it says no scent) that it would be a hint of mango but no.It doesn't have any scent. That's good for any FOs you use in your products. It is a bit of a heavy butter. Even the Shea butter I use doesn't seem as heavy as the Mango. So I never have to use very much of it to have it felt throughout the product.

COMMENTS: A little softer in consistency than cocoa butter, this is an excellent butter to use alone or in conjunction with other butters for various skin-loving projects! Feels incredible, and melts beautifully into the skin for a smooth, moisturized feel! I really love how this butter smells! It's not a strong odor, but it definitely has a beautiful organic-sweetness to it, and there's no doubt it's mango! What I loved about this butter though, was that even though it does smell delightfully wholesome, it didn't compete or interfere with the FO I used when making solid lotion bars AT ALL (not that I would have minded though- I really enjoyed the scent regardless). I'd definitely purchase this butter again for future projects... In leave-on products, it feels AMAZING in application!

COMMENTS: I used this as an alternative to shea butter in some of my products because a few of my customers are allergic to shea. This mango butter is really soft and easy to measure. It blends well in all of my creations and provides a smooth creamy texture. The smell is very light and does not overpower any unscented lotions or body butters. I only wish that the 1lb option came in a bucket. Since this is so creamy, and I live in a warm humid climate, it can spread all over the bag as you are trying to get it out.

COMMENTS: This was a wonderful addition to my lotion bars. Smell is very neutral and did not interfere with my fragrances. It feels amazing and I have gotten nothing but compliments on my product. It had such a great texture after blended with my other butters and oils, but was not really grainy before melting like some mango butter.

COMMENTS: I like mango because it is familiar to many of my customers and I have not heard anyone say that they have allergies to this product. Mango is easy to work with and it is not quite as sticky as shea butter. I also use mango directly on my skin and hair and find that it has easy spread and adds a good slip when integrated into mixtures.

I like the nutty smell of shea butter, this has a strange smell, but it goes away once you use it in soap I use this in my body butters because it does have less of a smell. I will absolutely buy this again!

My one complain is that by shipping it in a bag, a surprising amount shellacs itself to the plastic, and is difficult to get out. Besides that, I love it!

COMMENTS: I love this mango butter because it's a great product at a very good price. I've used it in bath fizzies as a moisturizer, lip balms & CP soap, I've been very happy with the results in the products I've made. The only draw back is how big the chunks are if you order it in 5lb bags or more, at least in the package I ordered most recently. I would have given it 5 stars if the product could come in smaller chunks. I have issues with the joints in my hands so it was very difficult for me to break down into more managable chunks, but maybe it's just me.

COMMENTS: I usually use coconut oil and cocoa butter whipped together with my favorite essential oils as my main moisturizer after a shower, but I had not noticed that my cocoa butter was almost gone. So I grabbed my bag of mango butter and threw about 1/2 cup of each coconut and mango into my double boiler to soften it up and blended it together. I let it cool a bit and then whipped it in my stand mixer for a few minutes then added my essential oils and just threw it into a glass jar with a lid. I absolutely love this new blend and really do not have any intention of going back to the cocoa butter blend again (unless I run low on the mango butter)!! It is smoother and leaves a less chocolate scent, which I don't mind. Although when you are going for a fresh lemony, fruity or floral scent I really don't like to have the aroma of the cocoa butter. I have also used mango butter in a blend with apricot kernel oil for a super shaving cream it makes my legs and underarms so soft and smooth without having to moisturize after showering it is amazing stuff! It melts down faster than cocoa butter and Shea Butter in my experience. Although I do always use coconut oil in almost everything I blend.

COMMENTS: My dear husband has still not been convinced of my dire situation which requires a water softener STAT (same goes for the pressing need for an automatic dish washer) So I am plauged with soap that doesn't lather and dries me out so bad. I am still a rookie in the soap and lotion field. My budget/capitol is on a smaller side with 5 children, a farm and now a new soap and lotion venture. Initially my wonderful soaps and lotions weren't reversing the effects of drying only slowing it down to average speed. I needed to Einstein my way into a miracle so that I could have an affordable high quality moisturizing oil for my lotions and soaps that would show improvement even in harsh conditions without the risk of dangerous chemicals. Just when I thought all hope was lost I was guided to this beacon of light in my dark sulfuric smelling dilemma. Now I can use the amount of coconut oil I need to get the right lather for my cold process soap and counteract its drying with this splendid butter for moisturizing. The price I could afford and the quality was superb. Now I don't have to feel guilty every time I go to order a new addition to my hobby and know that I am genuinely making a difference for my skin and my families skin.

COMMENTS: I love mango butter and its many uses, and I love that crafters choice carries this. My whipped body butters and lip balms cant be made without this! Very moisturizing, yet light and scent free, it takes on any scent, and doens't leave your skin feeling or looking greasy. Because it has a higher melting point than some other butters it's cool to use this one to heat directly using it to melt the other oils and butters.
For the butters I love the stand up packaging versus jars. It makes measuring easier and the packaging takes up very little space. Only thing is I wish they carried an unrefined, wild, organic version for me to try.

"I use this butter in my exfoliating bar. " |

COMMENTS: I mix this butter with Crafter's Choice oats in a m&p base. some of the butter separates to the top of the bar during the curing stage so I use a sharp knife to take off any excess or unpleasant looking leftovers. There is a slight mango scent which myself and my customers love. It is not overbearing and smells clean. It works great to moisturize and soften the skin which works nicely with the exfoliating properties of the oats. It melts easily into my soap base with little color being effected in the base itself. The weight comes broken in smaller pieces which makes weighing specific amounts very easy!

Only negative is I don't like the large ziplock bag. It's a soft butter, so I have to cut the bag open flat and use a scraper to get all the product. COMMENTS: This is solid at room temp and very, very smooth. On skin it is not greasy, not sticky. Absorbs extremely well. Probably my favorite and has replaced shea butter for me.

COMMENTS: I only ordered a sample of this, and wish I had ordered more! So far, I have only used it in my lip balm, but love the way it feels. It is also great used by itself on your lips. Has a light smooth feel to it.

COMMENTS: The Mango Butter by Crafters Choice was used in Cold Process & Hot Process Soapmaking. Definitely adds strength, conditioning and a silky texture to the bar. Will add at trace for cold process soapmaking or after the cook for Hot Process soapmaking in the future. Especially liked the moisturizing benefits when used in lotion bars. Will continue to Purchase.
