COMMENTS: I looooove this! It has that true tang or astringent smell of tea, but sweet and wonderful. Used 4% in CP soap and it is a strong scent. Behaved very well in my soap.

COMMENTS: I reordered this fragrance and used it in another cold process soap, using a recipe that almost mimicked the one in the testing notes. I soaped at a little over 90 degrees and the batter was fine without any ricing. However, I had not realized that the recommended maximum for this f/o was 3% for cold process soap. I had previously used at about 5-6% and it was fine and the fragrance was strong. At 3% I feel like the fragrance may fade. Fingers crossed!

COMMENTS: When I first smelled this I was a little turned off, but it turned out very interesting in a small set of lotion bars I made.
I enjoyed the fragrance so much I tried it in a cold process soap. The recipe was fairly slow moving, but had 12% palm oil and the batter ended up ricing, which was disappointing, since the testing notes says it does not rice.
Other than that, I really have grown fond of the fragrance, since its very unique and pleasant. So, I'll give it another try with a recipe similar to what is in the testing notes and see how it works out.
But, just be prepared for ricing, especially if you're using palm oil in your recipe.

"As someone who drinks Matcha.." |

COMMENTS: In my personal opinion, I feel like this fragrance smells more like green tea than the actual green tea fragrance oil (which to me smells more floral-y. I haven't tried it in candles or soaps, just smelled it from the bottle which I know can change once its in an actual candle so, maybe I'll test that out, though I don't have high hopes. But if you're looking for a matcha latte type smell, I don't think this is it.

COMMENTS: I drink pure ceremonial matcha tea every day and this is the best Matcha scent I have found. It doesn't smell like traditional green tea nor is it supposed to. Matcha tea is distinctly recognizable and smells earthy and very different from standard green tea. I made melt and pour soap with this and mixed in matcha tea- beautiful scent!

"Not like the Japanese Matcha Snacks" |

COMMENTS: I was hoping this smell was more like the Japanese Matcha snacks, since that particular scent is actually a very common and popular asian scent for all sorts of stuff. Sadly, this smell is more like...I have no idea. It's a grassy scent with some sort of salty(?) undertone, but not like tea to me.
I'm going to try and mix it with some vanilla scent to try and get it to smell the way I want, but I highly doubt it'll work.

COMMENTS: Smells so good that barely anyone knows it's a fragrance oil! I used a little less than the recommended amount in my soap and in retrospect should have used the full amount instead, since it is a light fragrance and definitely is not overpowering. There was no acceleration and my soap stayed fluid for a long time, allowing for some nice layers. Can't wait to get some more!

COMMENTS: I loved this. There was some acceleration, but nothing terrible. This smells just like Matcha tea to me. One reviewer said they smelled a chemical fragrance but I did not. COMMENTS: I have tried green tea scents from other companies. Others are too perfume-like and not as realistic. For an authentic scent, I like this one the best. I tried it immediately in green tea butter and CP soap at medium amounts. I did not like the scent as much when I tried the maximum usage amount. The nature of this fragrance oil seems light and gentle and it might be best to work with that in mind.
