Muted red shade that does not migrate in mp soap! Proprietary blend of mp soap base and color. One bar contains six cubes. One cube colors approximately 5-10 pounds of MP Soap (depending on the desired shade).

Performance Results:
Color: Produces a vibrant color in clear soap base. A pastel color is produced in opaque (white) soap base. This product is only approved for melt and pour soap base because it is a color suspended in melt and pour soap base.
Product pH: Color will not change in products with a high pH.
Color Fading: This color is not light sensitive.
Color Migration: If product design has layered colors, this color will not migrate or “bleed” between layers.

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Cut desired amount from the color bar and melt into warm soap base at 130-140ºF. To color your product, start with small amount of color and increase as desired. Adding this color to white soap will produce a pastel colored bar. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a bright colored bar.
TIPS: Using too much color may cause staining. Test your final product to ensure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: Approved for melt and pour soap. Not approved for general cosmetics, eye and lip products. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

COMMENTS: A little goes a long way; this colorant works well, place in the microwave with the cut up soap base. It melts into the soap and colors evenly.

COMMENTS: I used this in goat's milk soap, and it came out a brownish red. I tried mixing in a red mica powder to save it, but it was hopeless. Nutone red powder is much better.

COMMENTS: Even though this isn't meant for cold process, it still works in a pinch! I would buy these more if I worked with m&p, but I typically don't. Although I may order some of each color to keep on hand, in case I do in the future! Definitely worth stocking up on these if you do m&p!

COMMENTS: I like the color. It blends well, but: as a beginner soap maker, I may have ordered this in error. I am making Cold Process soap and am having difficulty getting the color bar to melt completely. Should I NOT use this in CP soap? Otherwise, what do I need to do to get the color melted?

COMMENTS: This is a brownish, rusty sort of red. Definitely has a lot of potential uses, although I confess I was hoping for something brighter. But a little goes a long way, and it's easy enough to use, so I could see myself repurchasing this at some point.
