Menthol Crystals are colorless prismatic crystals derived from steam distilled peppermint oil. They give a fresh, cool and tingling sensation to lotions, creams, ointments and balms. Menthol crystals dissolve in oil and alcohol bases only. These can be used in shower steamers, foot soak, scrubs and balms.
Used in cosmetics containing peppermint to boost its cooling and freshening effects. A little goes a long way!

COMMENTS: Hello! I used these in Heat Transfer-Hot Process Soap and they worked great! My recipe was 900 grams of oil, and I used 20 grams of the Menthol Crystals -- so my usage rate was just over 2% of the weight of oils. They smelled VERY strong when I was stirring the hot oil to melt the crystals, but the fragrance was toned down and quite enjoyable in the finished bars of soap. I have sensitive skin, but the Menthol Crystals didn't cause any irritation and left my skin feeling minty cool after my shower. Great product, would definitely recommend!

It’s a great menthol smell and I look forward to using them in a lot of ofther things, but for now my sinuses are super clear thanks to these. COMMENTS: You know how you feel when you have a product completely figured out and your customers love it? That's how I felt, until I found this! My 'Kick the Cold" shower steamers have gone from awesome to amazing!! I add crush crystals to eucalyptus and peppermint essential and BAM! Shower relief!
Super easy to use and work with and they seriously work wonders in the shower. I've also added this to my vapor rub, and again, I was pleasantly surprised with the result. If you try that, I added them just before taking my base off of the heat so they quickly melted down but didn't burn off.

COMMENTS: I have had a blast testing these crystals in lotion, foot creams, and even in my Winter Lip balms. A little goes a long way since they are so intense. You can overwhelm yourself with menthol, your eyes will water. Menthol crystals will melt in a double boiler with butters and oils. The lip balm makes your lips feel like you have been eating peppermint patties, cool and refreshing. The foot lotion cools tired feet quickly.
The crystals are very easy to work with and incorporate easily in the double boiler ingredients. I have NOT experienced any grittiness with these crystals. Definitely worth the purchase.

I read the precautions about working with them and being careful not to put my face over the pot while warming them and I am glad I read this, as they are very potent. The recipe I used only called for 1 1/2 tsp. A little goes a long way. It made a very strong tingly sports balm/bar that I lOVE! I appreciate that this company offers menthol crystals in a 2 oz. size, as many places only offer it in much larger quantity. It was nice to be able to buy the 2 oz. size and try it. And this size will go quite far. Good product and just what I was looking for to spice up my sports balm/bar product!

With little amount you can get the exact scents for your soaps or shampoo conditioners besides. It's cold when you use it. COMMENTS: Nice and strong - cleared my sinuses! I used some menthol in a cold and flu shower fizzie and a little goes a long way and it filled the whole shower.
