Our Premium Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base is opaque and white in color. It contains Shea butter, which is thought to benefit dry skin. The two-pound tray is the perfect size container for projects making (8) 4 oz. bars of soap. The lid allows for unused soap to easily be stored for future use.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

COMMENTS: I enjoy buying quality products that really make my soaps pop - literally. I've been making melt and pour soap since my son was a baby, he's 19 now! I've got some years of experience on me and this product is by far one of the better bases I have used. The only issue I have is pigment color, tends to be polka-dotted in the end result when I mix essential oils with the pigment. I've tried warming the pigment a little and adding to the warm essential oils to no avail. When you wash with this Shea Butter MP soap base the lather is consistent, the bubble seem to fade slowly and it gives a real spa flavor (yes, flavor) to the whole shower experience.

COMMENTS: I love this soap base! It's great as a base or as a stand alone product. The lather is full and rich with nice tight bubbles and the shea butter gives it an amazing fresh, clean scent.It is a little big to lift up to cut though. I ended up having to carve most of my pieces off with it on the floor, would be better if it was made up of smaller pieces but all in all I'll definitely be ordering this again.

I love this creamy soap; it is gentle yet cleansing and very easy to work with. COMMENTS: I started out with the 3 Butter Base, Mango/Coconut/Shea butters, but this one ended up being better for me. It was just as easy to use as the 3 butter base but the scent of the base out of the package was very subtle compared to the 3 Butter, and it didn't affect my scent oils like the 3 Butter Base did. Both are good, but I like this one a little more.

COMMENTS: This is one of my favorite melt and pour bases. It is very easy to work with and readily takes color, additives, and fragrance oils. The Shea butter leaves the skin feeling supple and hydrated. It doesn't produce a great deal of lather but I tend to add additional oils to my soaps so I'm sure that affects that aspect. Over all, I highly recommend this base to produce wonderful, pampering soaps.

COMMENTS: This was the first soap I ever made so I wasn't sure what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised! This soap is very easy to handle, melt, and unmold (depending on your design mold). When used, it feels smooth and rinses clean. My skin felt silky.
