Our most popular mold. This traditional loaf makes eight one-inch slices of soap, and the loaves will fit in Crafter's Choice Mitre Box for easier slicing.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap into silicone mold. Allow soap to cool at room temperature until hard. Carefully remove loaf from mold by gently pulling the sides away from the soap, and then push on the bottom of the mold until the soap starts to release. Grab hold of the loaf and carefully pull out of the mold. Slice into bars.
Cold Process Soap: Pour soap at trace into mold. After at least 24 hours, gently pull silicone mold to loosen its grip on the soap. Flip mold over onto a clean surface or cookie sheet and gently push on the bottom of mold until the soap starts to release. Grab hold of the loaf with a gloved hand. Slice into bars and allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Cold Process/Oven Process Soap: Pour soap at trace into the mold. Preheat oven to 170ºF then place mold in oven. Turn oven off, and keep soap in oven overnight. The next day remove mold from oven. Carefully remove loaf from mold by gently pulling the sides away from the soap, and then push on the bottom of the mold until the soap starts to release. Grab hold of the soap and carefully pull out of the mold. Slice into bars, and allow soap to cure for 2 to 4 weeks.
Hot Process Soap: Scoop hot process soap into mold. Gently tap the mold onto the counter to remove air pockets. Allow soap to cool and harden. (This can take up to 48 hours.) Carefully remove loaf from mold by gently pulling the sides away from the soap, and then push on the bottom of the mold until the soap starts to release. Grab hold of the loaf and carefully pull out of mold. Slice into bars.
Care:
Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.

The somewhat clearness of the silicone allows for some visual of your project. *Adds to the excitement!
The loaf is perfectly rectangular. I cut 7 bars at 4 + 0z,(I'm sure that's due to my bad cutting.)
A great addition to any collection.

COMMENTS: My husband got 2 of these molds for me several years ago. They have been used a lot and are very sturdy. I use them for cold process goat milk soap and occasionally a batch of hot process soap. They are nice because I don't have to line them with plastic and the sides of my soap come out really even and straight.

COMMENTS: I'm brand new to soaping, and decided to get this Crafter's Choice Regular Loaf Silicone Mold to use for my first cold process soap loaf. I liked how it seemed sturdy enough for just the mold itself, without having to need a separate wood mold to keep the shape. This was important to me because as a new soaper, I'd like to keep my costs low as I begin to stock up on the basic tools I need. This was the perfect mold for my first loaf! The soap loaf was very easy to remove from the mold, and the shape held up just wonderfully. I'm gonna get some more of these so I can make a couple different recipes at a time. I'm so happy with this purchase!

COMMENTS: This little guy is perfect for my needs. I have two of them and will be purchasing more in the near future. They don't bow out in the middle, they don't hold scent after the soap is unmolded, and they are ridiculously easy to clean. I would love for it to be a couple inches longer & hold another ounce or two, but I'm definitely not going to complain about that. The price is great and it's a beautiful product.

COMMENTS: This mold is excellent in terms of its sturdiness and quality. It holds up very well without buckling or warping. It was my first purchase of a silicone loaf mold of its kind and I used it to make some Melt & Pour soap. It was great! The only problem I have is the maximum capacity. Based on the product description, it says it holds 44 ounces, which would be 2.75 pounds. This is incorrect! This mold only holds a maximum capacity of 32 ounces, which is 2 pounds. This was very disappointing for me because the batch I made was based on the 44 ounces listed in the product description. I think this needs to be corrected on the website to reflect a more realistic/truthful value. Luckily, this is M&P, so I can salvage the extras. I still give this mold a 5-star review because it truly is a fantastic mold and I will be purchasing some more.

COMMENTS: The mold is a perfect size, and the soap just falls out, but I did have to put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it released very easy. I thought it looked bigger in the picture, but it is still a perfect size for my projects, because I am just starting out. It makes 8 - 1 inch bars, and it holds a little over 2 pounds, I put 28 ounces of oils in my recipe and it was perfect.

This mold here I just bought a few of them well more, I make a huge batch of soap and then I separate the batch to all different types of soaps then just like that I have 10 different soaps from making one huge batch and using 10 molds. COMMENTS: This mold works very well. Easily holds two pounds of soap with a little room to spare. Mold holds it's shape very well, with little to no bowing. If I use a hard recipe or sodium lactate, soaps unmold very easily. If it's a soft recipe with no sodium lactate, it is a little more difficult and it is inclined to stick. Recommend with harder recipes and/or sodium lactate. Everyone should have a couple of these.

COMMENTS: Any soap mold from Crafter's Choice is well made and intended to last for many years. The description for this product is exactly true: the mold does hold 8 full-size soap bars. (roughly 40 ounce total mold capacity.) The sides are reinforced, so they don't bow out when full. The mold holds its shape and has nice square corners. The only thing I'd caution about is that your batter will want to gel in the center unless you immediately put it into the freezer after pouring. Otherwise you'll end up with a half-gelled soap. Or otherwise, you can force a gel phase on the whole loaf by setting a heating pad under it, setting a box over the mold, then covering it with blankets. Turn off the heating pad after an hour, then leave it alone for a few more hours. This will allow the whole loaf to gel, so the color and consistency of your soap is the same throughout the loaf.

The bar that it produces is perfectly rectangular, no bulging anywhere, and I didn't have to shore it up with books. (I did anyway first use, just as a precaution.) The only complaint I have is that it's difficult to unmold, no matter how long I let my MP sit.

COMMENTS: I love soaping with these molds. I ordered 2 because I love doing CPOP. With this mold I am able to see what stage my soap is at all times. With it being somewhat clearer then others, I can see if it is gelling all the way to the sides and corners. This mold was a little difficult to unmold, but like all molds each one has it temperaments. After using this mold, I found this molds way of wanting to release. I am glad I bought 2 right up front, because I like to make 2 loafs at a time. If my oven goes on...I might as well make the best of my time.
ONLY WISH is that it was totally clear. Maybe one day someone will develope a clear mold that can be put in the oven. As "Acrylic" at this time can not.
I would recomend this mold. I did not buy one when I first started soaping because I bought the cheaper flexible silicone molds.
This one has a very sturdy sides to minimize bowing. If you do not over mold it, you will not have any bowing problems.
I use this in all my CP, HP, CPOP, and MP soaping!

COMMENTS: These molds are great! They make clean up easy! The soap is easy to unmold. I do overfill these to get a textured top and find the molds do try to bow out a little in the middle. But as the soap sets up I just push on the bowed part to straighten it out a little. Definitely great for what I need it for.

COMMENTS: Unmolding took a while because wherever I tried to push the soap out, the other end would be holding onto the silicone haha! It's pretty sturdy but the sides may start to "bow" after many uses, which isn't much of a problem since I could use something like books to support the sides. The edges came out super clean and I like how the mold is translucent so you can somewhat see your embeds.

COMMENTS: I like this mold for the most part. It does tend to bow a little on the sides if you over fill it, so that's something to be mindful of. I wait 24 hrs or so before unmolding and the soap usually comes out pretty easily. After unmolding I soak the mold with dish soap, vinegar, and baking soda to remove any residual scents and dyes.

COMMENTS: This is my go to mold. It makes the perfect size bars, I get about eight 1in bars. It's important to make sure that the soap has dried enough before removing. The bottoms tend to stick to the corners if the soap is too soft. But it soap dries correctly, it comes out the mold perfectly. After several uses I did notoce the mold to bow out a little but it's nothing you'll notice once you cut the bars. I definitely plan on ordering more of these molds.

COMMENTS: This mold in my opinion creates the perfect sized soap. I find it a tad bit difficult to unmold, not because of sticking, but because the sides of the mold are so sturdy that I can't turn it inside out like I do with cheaper ones that I don't care about. I actually consider that a plus and I'll take a little extra time to be careful and unmold properly.
If you are filling this up all the way to the top, it does bow slightly, but it really doesn't effect the way the soaps look. if you're worried about it, arrange a couple heavy bottles to support the sides or something like that and it will turn out great.

COMMENTS: I've tried a few other soaping molds and I have to say this is my favorite. The price is perfect (I've found the same mold elsewhere for more money), and they're easy to use and easy to clean. One misconception I had about the mold is that it was able to hold 2-3 pounds of soap, really it holds 1.5 pounds comfortably. Perfect if you produce small batches of soap and you don't want to have to buy a box to support your mold. This doesn't bow at all. I will definitely be using these (got more than one!) as my go to molds from now on.

COMMENTS: I was disappointed that the mold looked nothing like the picture. I felt it was very misleading. This is unusual for this company.
The mold is clear white. No blue and has no frame around it. I was also surprised at how short it is for the price.
However, it is very sturdy, needs no support and will likely last for years. I used it for melt and pour and it worked just fine.

COMMENTS: I used these mold for the first time tonight and I have never used a silicone loaf mold before because I was scared that they would bow. These have surprisingly solid and sturdy sides. I made a 32 oz HP batch of soap and I'd say only about 24 ounces fit in the mold. I expected more based on the description, but I will try for about 32 ounces with Cp next time.
I am definitely ordering at least two more or these!

COMMENTS: Several of the reviews indicated that this mold was stiffer and wouldn't bow, however, on my second batch, I had significant bowing. I use the old green molds often and haven't had a problem with those at all. If not for that, it would definitely be a 5 star! I love being able to see through the sides and it unmolds very easily compared to the green molds.

COMMENTS: I finally ordered these bad boys when the shoe box molds just weren't cutting it anymore. I love having a beautiful, uniform bar. That sells much better than the oddly shaped stuff I was making before. It is sturdy enough to stay up on it's own without any problem, yet flexible enough to get the soap out easily. It holds onto the scent from the last batch, but that hasn't been a problem with the following batches, and our wood mold does the same. I did not have any problems putting it in a 175 degree oven for some of the CPOP soaps I've made.

COMMENTS: I was unsure of what kind of loaf mold to buy since I had only done melt & pour projects. I was getting my supplies for cp/hp and there are so many choices, wooden, pp plastic, silicone. I decided on this Crafters Choice mold and that was the best choice I could have made. I've made dozens of batches in this mold and plan on making dozens more. I've never had any bowing, the soap comes out easily especially with a little sodium lactate and it makes great size bars!! I've bought another mold since that I got cheap and it bows when about 2/3 full.

I use about 26 ounces of oils for this and it usually fills it up fine. The mold keeps it shape and doesn't need support, and the soap comes out nicely. There was no give on the sides and the loaf was easy enough to remove from the mold. Of course, this mold creates a loaf that fits perfectly into the mitre box. I am very pleased with this mold!

COMMENTS: I have a variety of molds, but I always go back to these loaf molds! They do bow out over time, but I use a clamp to keep everything in line when needed. I did have one that I think was a lemon, as it split after the second use. No issues since then, though! I like the size, it makes for a loaf that's easily workable. I make 3-5 loaves a week, and I have five molds. They get regular use, and I'll be ordering more of these in the future.

"EXCELLENT Mold" |

COMMENTS: This mold is my first "real" mold after having used household containers on-hand while I experimented as a beginning soaper. I'll look no further as I'm very satisfied with the mold; it's durable, sturdy, and very easy to unmold. The colorant didn't stain and I don't smell a hint of the scent left on the mold. I've only used it with MP but expect it to perform the same with CP as well. I only ordered two and definitely plan on ordering more!

COMMENTS: I have completely ditched my wooden soap molds that I had to line with paper & only use these silicone loaf molds. I can get 8, 1" size bars of soap per mold, which is perfect. I freeze my cold process soaps instead of gelling them & they always pop out perfectly from the mold. I had 4 of these molds & just ordered 6 more! You will fall in love with them I promise :)

COMMENTS: This is by far my favorite mold ... I should have purchased more. Nice for working with melt and pour, you can visualize well when using imbeds, because the opacity allows you to see through a bit. It is the perfect size for (8) 1" bard of soaps, and you have square edges (not sloped or angled like a regular baking loaf pan). Especially like that it has the reinforced ridges on the sides, that help to keep the mold from bowing out when filled.

COMMENTS: I thought it sounded really big at first and when I got it I was very surprised as it's just the right size I was looking for. I wanted a size that was shower bar size, and I thought it might be too big. Now I need to get the smaller size for by the sink. Works great and very durable.

COMMENTS: For my first time ever making soap, and with no real directions at all, these molds were great! They are very easy to use. Very easy to clean. They feel like they will last a while if I treat them with respect and keep sharp objects away. They bend and give just enough to help get the soap out. If it's your first time I suggest shaking it just a little and eventually the soap will start to slowly slide out. I did find that the molds stain and it can be hard to get the scent out from the previous soap. I used fragrance oils, I don't know, other types may not all linger.

COMMENTS: I'm new to soap making but I've made two batches of soap so far and this loaf mold is amazing. I was worried about not having anything to support it in, but its very sturdy and needed no support! I also found it to be very easy to unmold and clean. It makes a good size loaf of soap and I cut mine into 16 small bars for family Christmas presents. I am considering buying another loaf! Great product. Great service. Won't buy from anywhere else.

COMMENTS: I'm addicted to all things soapy. Like all good addicts, I have a mountain of different soap molds. A woman MUST have choices, I say. Well, turns out, I pretty much only use this one. Because it's so awesome. Semi clear, I can kinda see what's going on inside. Firm sides, doesnt bow. Perfect size. Super easy to unfold. Bars come out shiny with super smooth surface and perfectly sharp edges. I have bought several of these. I'll eventually end up accumulating a mountain of them, I'm sure. Such is love...

COMMENTS: I bought one of these to try it out, and I have been extremely pleased. the sides hold up well on their own with no additional support. it does well with CPOP as well as being placed in the freezer for my non gel soaps. The soaps come out with a little assistance but no difficulty. easy to wipe down and clean when done. These molds make the perfect loaves - I usually calculate my recipes to about 30oz of oils.

COMMENTS: I bought 4 of these molds when they were available as surplus. Each makes about a 3 lb batch of soap using 2 lbs of oils. I get about 8 one inch bars of soap. The molds are reinforced so they do not bow when filled to capacity. I find that I have to pop them into the freezer to remove the soap from the mold. Otherwise they are great!! Would like a small 6-8 inch square tray mold to use for a drop bullseye swirl design.

COMMENTS: This is the second loaf Silicone mold I have purchased. I really like that it is easy to remove my cp soap, couldn't be easier. After pouring, I just let it rest on the counter about 24 hrs. then remove the soap and cut into bars. The molds are well made and durable. I recommend it to soap makers.

COMMENTS: I Purchased this last week and I LOVE it. It makes the soap so much easier to remove that the plastic ones. I wish I had got it sooner. The edges are straighter, this makes it easier to cut atm. My next purchase will be the tray that helps cut the soap more even. Thank you. Everyone should have this mold :)

COMMENTS: This mold works very well. If you use it on an uneven surface or if the soap gets over heated it will bow but on a flat surface (which is a bit of a no-brainer) it produces a lovely loaf of soap. The flexibility is great for un-molding.

COMMENTS: I make a lot of different sizes and shapes with my soap, and most of my molds are silicone. This mold made me just as happy as all the other silicone molds I have. The best part is its size. Because of the amount of soap it takes, I find it a lot faster and easier to make some of my designs with this instead of the individual bar molds. Plus I like being able to sliced the loaf when its done especially if one of my customers makes a custom order over one pound.

COMMENTS: This mold is great. It make eight 1" bars and they slipped right out of the mold with not problem. Some people say they put it in the fridge for 30 minutes but there is no need to. The bars were perfect and the sides of the mold are very stable. Need to buy two more.

COMMENTS: I got one of these molds, and all I can say is I need at least two more - they clean up in a snap, not having to line it is a blessing, and they're decently priced. I have noticed I get some bowing out on the sides (and the bottom, which puzzles me seeing as I leave my poured batches on perfectly flat surfaces), but its nothing two books can't fix.

"Awesome CP Soap Mold" |

COMMENTS: I'm using this for strictly CP soap. So far, it works great for 2 lb batches.
The reason why I say that is because I've found that I usually get to a little over 2 lb in the mold once I add in any extra oils/exfoliants, and due to the excess water. If I leave it a little below the top, it allows me to turn over the mold and apply pressure evenly when it is ready to release. Basically, it keeps me from breaking the soap before unmolding, and from damaging the mold due to trying to preserve the shape of the soap.
So, I'd recommend doing 2 lb (total, not oils--I use about 1.5 lb of oils) batches in this mold for easier release.
The only problem I've found is that you have to let the soap set for quite some time before unmolding or the soap will warp/break. It's probably due to the silicon material, that doesn't allow for "breathing" once the oils have been saponified.

COMMENTS: I am very pleased with the regular loaf silicone molds. The soaps pop right out once you get used to them. It seems they do need a little "breaking in". The more I use them, the easier it is to pop the soaps right out of the molds. I came across someone's tip to leave the soaps for about 5 days or so before trying to unmold...this is VERY IMPORTANT!!! They wash up well too. Great Molds.

COMMENTS: This mold easily holds 40 oz. of soap batter. I got 8 i-inch slices of soap. I like that the mold stands up on it's own . . . no need for extra support . . . and it does not need to be lined. The soap slides right out. Make sure your soap is completely set before unmolding it. My melt and pour set for about 8 hours. I pulled at the sides a little to allow some air to flow around the soap loaf, then pressed on the bottom with my thumbs and eased the loaf out of the mold.

COMMENTS: I love this mold. It's so easy to use. I love that it's transparent enough that you can see the layers of soap. It's sturdy. No bowing out in the center at all. Easy to clean. Easy to un-mold. I do need to let it set an extra day or two before un-molding, but it's no big deal. This gives me the perfect amount of soap for my personal batches. I can cut them different ways depending on how thick I want my bars...

"Not that easy to unmold" |

COMMENTS: I had the same problem that some other had with unmolding. The material isn't that pliable to work with. I think I will us the suggestion that someone else made about putting a strip of freezer paper in it length wise to help lift it out. The sides come away fairly easily, but the bottom is hard to release.

COMMENTS: I needed this mold for several recipes I want to make. Within an hour of this mold coming in, I already was using it. It's a very sturdy mold and the walls seem to hold up well without being flimsy. The soap came out easily with good shape to the soap. This is one of the basic tools I have needed and will purchase several more. You can't go wrong with this mold.

COMMENTS: I have several molds, but this is by far the best. The walls do not buckle and there is no leakage like some of the constructed molds. Soap is easy to remove from the mold as well. I will definitely be investing in more of these!

COMMENTS: This is THE best mold and I just wish I had more of them! I started using it for M&P but now use it for my CP soapmaking. I need to buy more so I can do multiple batches at once. Soap comes out easily, it's strong so it doesn't bow on the sides, and cleanup is a breeze!

COMMENTS: No lining for this one, and the price is right! For me, using sodium lactate is a must with silicone molds, so I had very little release issues. I only wish this mold were larger. I get 7 bars on it with my multi-bar wire cutter (each bar is just a tad over an inch thick).

COMMENTS: I am very pleased with the mold. Now that they are clear it makes it easier to see what you're doing when swirling colors or layering. It's built very strong and will give your soap clean, smooth sides. It does hold scent but soaking it in a mixture of soap and vinegar for a few days will help it fade away. The scent won't transfer to the next batch if you use it back to back.

COMMENTS: This mold makes the perfect soap with straight edges. There is no need to even cut off the end of each loaf because every slice looks perfect. It is a firm silicone and it takes some wiggling the sides to pop the seal. Once loose, the loaf slides right out of the mold. I cut 8 one inch slices out of each loaf. My only wish is that they would make the same mold in one that holds more than 2 pounds!

COMMENTS: I own 8 of these molds now and they just cannot be beat for the price. I have found some good tips for using them though... 1. DO NOT wash these in the dishwasher, the silicone becomes weak and discolored when you do, just wash them by hand and dry with a cloth. 2. To get rid of any lingering scent from your last batch, soak in warm water with baking soda for about a half hour and then wash like normal. 3. If you put these molds in the freezer, wait about 5-10 minutes before un-molding your soap (any kind), this will help to keep from tearing the molds which can be a little brittle when frozen. I make M&P and HP in these which I can un-mold with no difficulty in 24 hours. When making CP I just put a piece of freezer paper in on the long side to act as a slip... my softest batch has never taken more than 48 hours to come out of the mold with that old trick! An excellent value for your money with many years of use!

COMMENTS: I say almost, because if it were tall and skinny, it would be. It was a little stiff the first few times I used it and a little hard to get my CP soap out. I ended up placing the soap, in the mold in the freezer for a few hours and then it pops out with a little more flexing and bending. after about a dozen uses, it loosens up and the soap slides out. perfect size

COMMENTS: I'm really happy with this mold, it's far better than my hacked up home made soap box. One caveat, don't believe that it is for 40 ounces, I think my calculations came out to 28, so make sure you calculate your recipe for that. It releases easily, no problems there. I really like the size of the soap I get too. Definitely prefer this one to the plastic ones at the big box craft store.

COMMENTS: I have a lot of molds but this one is the most used and my very favorite mold. The sides of the soap are super glossy and the soap pops right out. I just pull the sides away and give a little push on the mold bottom. If I could only have one soap mold, this would be it.

COMMENTS: As soon as I got the mold I knew it was a keeper. I like to use silicone molds since I do CPOP for my soaps, so I can only use my wooden molds with silicone inserts. I've been using a one pounder, but was looking for a slightly larger one. This is perfect for your smaller batches. The sides are awesome. The results are perfect. No trouble unmolding. I love how I can see thru the mold. When the larger one is available I will be ordering that one. The price is perfect and the quality is great. It produces the perfect size bars for my new soap boxes. Oh and I love the straight sides and corners. Thanks for a affordable great mold!

"Great Silicone Mold" |

COMMENTS: I didn't want to bother with lining molds and thanks to this mold, I don't have to! The dimensions are great, there's no bowing, and cleanup is easy. I've used it 3 times thus far and it's so sturdy, I'm sure it'll last a long time. I haven't added sodium lactate to my recipe and haven't had any problem unmolding. I do use shea butter in all my recipes though so that helps.

COMMENTS: Fantastic mold! The sides are rigid so there is no bowing and no need to reinforce the mold to get nice rectangular bars. The mold is small, but that makes it the perfect size for the hobbyist or the soaper trying out a new technique. If you wrap the mold in towels you can still get full gel and the soap pops out easily. Once you play around with gently prying the sides all you have to is push on the bottom and the soap pops right out. This mold is a keeper!

COMMENTS: This is my favorite soap mold I have ever used. I like that I don't need to line the mold as that in my opinion can be a bit messy. The soap comes out of the mold easily and cuts into 8 generously sized bars or sometimes I cut it into six chunky bars. I have nothing but praise for this product haven't found a single thing I don't like about it.

COMMENTS: I love this loaf mold!I purchased one over 2 years ago and I loved it so much I purchased another 2. :) The sides don't buckle like all other loaf molds do, and the sides stay nice and square. My cold process soaps come out the molds nicely after waiting a couple of days, or first putting them in the freezer so I don't dent the soap. I have fallen in love with these molds ever since the first one i purchased, and wont use any other loaf mold ever! I hope these stay around forever. :) Thanks for making such a great item! :) At a very affordable price. :)

COMMENTS: I worried that I may have spent more on this mold than I needed to, that it wasn't a necessary purchase. But now that I have used it, I have absolutely no regrets. I am so impressed with this product. It is sturdy enough to hold it's shape well even when filled with the poured soap and very easy to see how far your soap has gelled while in the oven. COMMENTS: This soap loaf is the perfect size and shape for producing lovely bars. Soap is easy to unmold with this loaf and is very user friendly. In the past, most loaf pans had a wider top or bottom and were never aesthetically pleasing, shapewise. This one is and I've used each one over and over again. COMMENTS: This is a great mold for everyday soaping. I have used mine for over a year now and it has held its shape nicely. There is very minimal bowing of the sides. I usially soap 27ounces and it will yield 8 one inch size bars that are 3.5 to 4.5 ounces each when done. I really like that I do not have to line the mold. Just turn it upside down, give the soap a little push and it slides right out!

COMMENTS: This mold works very well, easy release. The bottom is thinner than the rest of the mold, but I always place my mold on a baking sheet or cutting board for easy moving. I like the transparency so you can get a preview of what's going on with your soap. It produces nice straight edges. You can get about 7 one inch bars. It's a nice size for smaller batches. Would LOVE to see a larger size option as well!
