Sea Clay, also known as French Green Clay, is a cosmetic grade clay that can be useful on oily skin. It is grayish green in color and is the clay used to make Sea Mud Masks! Use this amazing clay in facial bars, face masks and soap.

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Incorporate into formula, amount as desired. Common use levels are 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per pound of base. If making a face mask, the common use level is 50-75%. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and away from eyes. Do not inhale.

COMMENTS: I use this additive in a soap that is my best seller with younger customers. Teens, 20 and 30 somethings love the soap I make with this clay. I've had great reviews from it on my website and have had several young ladies tell me that this soap has helped during hormonal times. Another has told me that people have complimented her on the "glow" on her face. I like working with it because it's easily incorporated into my recipe and is really smooth.

COMMENTS: This clay, like most dry powder ingredients, clumps up and can be difficult to work with but it did pair nicely with a kelp exfoliant and Lemongrass Tea scented oil. My most recent use of the clay I let it soak with Vitamin E oil and the fragrance oil for that particular batch of soap and it mixed perfectly in the soap when it was added. The color is really smooth and a good shade of grey with no clay clumps. I didn't let it soak too long and didn't need to whisk it(I mixed the clay and oils with a rubber spatula). Giving the clay a head start like that made all of the difference in my soap.

COMMENTS: Works well as a natural colorant in my cp soap at about 1 tsp ppo- turns out a grayish green, kind of a sage color. I first tried 1/2 tsp ppo, but the color was so subtle that when I did my in the pot swirl, it blended away into the uncolored soap. Now I always put usage rates in my reviews and hope others do the same so we all have less trial and error. I mix it with a little water first, then am usually able to hand mix into soap with no clumping or other issues.

COMMENTS: Sea clay is one of my favorite additives in soap. However, the quality varies from vendor to vendor; some can have uneven texture and a very "fishy" smell. This sea clay has a very fine, silky texture with a slight seaweed odor. It's not an unpleasant smell, and it disappears in my CP soap. The color is a soft greyish green -- I prefer not to add other colors because it's so pretty on its own.

COMMENTS: i love this clay i have been struggling with acne since i was 25 almost 40 still have it. i was using bentonite clay with herbal powders and essential oils to treat it. i decided to try this i love it. i put it in with my bentonite clay mask and it firms my skin extra as the bentonite does too...this seems to give my skin a glowing effect . probably because of all the goodies in it. i love the way it feels too i am all about the texture! i keep this in stock..it does not smell fishy too bad either very slight not hard to cover at all!

COMMENTS: I try to stay far from artificial colorants. I wish that the clays especially this 1 can be given at the end of checkout instead of the micas well at least an option. Btw love all the clays. Great product.

COMMENTS: I used this in my facial soaps. I love the slip the sea clay provides and it leaves my face very smooth. This would be great in facial masks too. I feel this provides a little luxury for a small price.

COMMENTS: I love this clay. It makes a nice lathering soap that gives good slip when making a shaving soap. It adds a nice natural color too. I also love doing a homemade facial mask using sea clay, aloe vera, lavender and tea tree essential oils. This mixture works well on sensitive acne prone skin.

COMMENTS: I love using different clays for shaving soaps! It not only gives personality to your product but it also provides great slip. This clay comes out to be a nice foam to deep green color in my cold process shave soap and cream soaps. Make sure to keep this stored in a dry place so that clumping does not occur.

COMMENTS: OMG! I love this product! My customers love it as well. It was easy to use and I had no problem adding essential oils to fit the skin needs of my customers. My only regret is that I let my skeptisim talk me into purchasing on a small quantity because I was unfamiliar with this product. When I make my next purchase I am definately getting a higher quantity!!!
