COMMENTS: This is the second year buying this fragrance oil... Customers LOVED this scent in cp soap last year. Some readers said it behaved well in their soapmaking but I experienced ricing as soon as I added it to my pot. Was able to blend it out but you definitely need to work fast. I checked my notes from last year's batch (different bottle) and no ricing was experienced..

"AMAZING SCENT - CP Issues" |

COMMENTS: This scent is amazing and we carry it across our product line as a summer collection. I honestly can't get enough of it. I was surprised though because the vendor notes do not match the experience I had in CP soap. It riced immediately and acceleration prevented me from accomplishing the one pot wonder I was looking for. So, my advice is to work very quickly, blend out the rice, and get it into the mold without attempting a fancy swirl. If you do dual color, you may attempt a hanger swirl but be aggressive with the hanger.

COMMENTS: In spite of what the product description says, this totally does accelerate. I got this FO by accident so I can't complain about the price. It smells like suntan oil with notes of coriander and musk. It's a very nice, complicated scent. I used the fragrance calculator here to figure out how much to use. When I went to do a complicated swirl with it, wham! It thickened up. I will use it in different recipes that don't involve swirling liquid colors.

COMMENTS: I had been using this wonderful smelling fragrance for quite some time in MP, but let me tell you....when used in CP it transformed into something even more wonderful and beyond description. Just beautiful! I have people wanting to order by the loaf! I did experience some slight ricing but I was able to easily stick blend out, and it was still well worth it just for the scent. And I would still give 5 stars!

"Great scent, but priced and accelerated in CP soap" |

COMMENTS: First I will say I LOVE this scent. It is spot on to the Yankees Candle scent. It is a perfect beachy sun tan lotion scent! I have made candles with this fragrance oil and it behaved perfectly in paraffin-coco wax. But, today I made a 5lb batch of CP soap it the fragrance oil riced and accelerated. ?? My soap was a beach themed soap with layers and thankfully I didn't add the FO to the main batch. I added the micas and FO to each separate layer and that is the only thing that saved my soap! I soaped cool. I had prepped my lye solution and butters/oils the day before. I don't know if that had anything to do with the acceleration and ricing, but just thought I'd throw that fact out there.

COMMENTS: First off - I truly LOVE this fragrance! It is the perfect summer/beach/vacation scent. That being said, I had a not very complicated hanger swirl planned and thought I could get away with it...but my little inner voice was trying to remind me that it Does accelerate. Somewhat listening to that little voice, I looked it up and it said NO ricing, NO acceleration. I went on with my pour and whoopsy! as soon as I got it into my main color it chunked. I stirred quickly and plopped into my mold then added the rest of it to my other colors one by one and did the same. I "think" it might work out but do beware it does MOVE QUICKLY.

"Fun Fragrance but a Pain to Work With in CP Soap" |

COMMENTS: This fun scent reminds me of suntan lotion. I was excited to dig into this fragrance and went ahead and created a 200 oz batch. Bad choice, riced and seized. Had to trash the entire batch. I then tried a very small batch about 25 oz. This was ok to work with as long as you worked fast without any special designs. I tried again to make my regular 200 oz batch but broke it down into 50 oz layers. Riced the second the fragrance went in with each batch. Was able to stick blend most of it out. My temps were 120. If I do this fragrance again it will only be in very small batches.

COMMENTS: When I received this FO I made a couple of MP bars of soap for family to try. Everyone, both men & women, love this FO. I started receiving requests right away for more soap, a cologne spray, and some lotions. I used what I had left to make CP soap & the scent came out well and I have not noticed any fading of the scent at all. It behaved very well in my soap. It's already on my list to re-order more of this FO this month. I have plans to make some lotion with it as well. And I've got family waiting to get more items with this FO. I think it is both a great spring & summer FO and it appeals to both men & women. I'm sure just about any product with this FO would sell well for those who sell their items. In my MP soap I used the Carmel Butterscotch Mica for the sand & used a orange round imbed in the loaf for the sun. This one is definitely a keeper.

COMMENTS: Ordered this last year for cold process soap, along with 4 other F.O.'s for our spring into summer line up & this one, by far, was the #1 one seller for Summer 2016. We just brought it back (as an unexpected surprise for the Christmas season) for some of our favorite customers, knowing that winter vacations were coming & we sold out again. It sells out in about everything we put it in, cold process, lotion (lots & lots of lotions sold with this one), bath whips, sugar scrubs, & will be adding it now to our new hair line. COMMENTS: Why when you are not a fan of something that the scent lingers like you wished others would? This to me smells like an air fresher. I purchased thinking it would smell like the pink sands by Yankee but it doesn't. It smells like air fresher. I used in a candle but the scent for some reason in that use wasn't strong enough for me to repurchase.

I grew up in Miami and this so remind me of summer days by the ocean.
I will say, it reminds me of the Original Coppertone scent from the 60's. Which is a scent I have always liked.
It plays very well in CP. Does not accelerate or rice. Really sticks even if you let it go through gel. A 6 week old bar smells every bit as strong as a new bar.
Please don't ever change or discontinued this wonderful scent!

I would have given it 5 stars but it does accelerate trace in cold process soaps. I had lumpy batter to pour into the molds. COMMENTS: I am a fan of Sun and Sand fragrance oil, and look forward to adding this to my summer sales. The fragrance oil does speed up trace, and thickens very fast. I had to stir in the fragrance by hand. There was slight ricing, but not too bad. Overall, it's a wonderful fragrance, and I would use it again, just be prepared when making CP soap.

COMMENTS: I've been looking for a beachy type scent since Bikini Beach was discounted, so I thought I would give this one a try. Didn't like it straight from the bottle, but it becomes much more flowery and soft in the soap. Yet it still has a trace of the Coppertone scent. I was afraid of acceleration because of some of the reviews, but I had no issues. I used full water and added the FO after I'd mixed my colors. I live in Florida so I expect it to be a big seller, especially with the snow birds.

COMMENTS: Reminded me of California Beaches, just as I remember as a memories of being at the beach when I was younger. Fresh, clean, crisp beach notes, that I could place each tone as the salt water, the sand, the suntan lotions. I used in bath salts and bath fizzies. COMMENTS: i bought this to make a salt soapbar and i started first with a massage solid lotion bar and sold out so i made it with shower gel, i have none left . in the summer i used this in natural potpourri for the car, it was like going to the beach everyday ! needsless to say i ran out so fast i never got to the soap but hoping i can plan ahead this summer and stock up !! its a keeper !!

COMMENTS: This fragrance holds up great in my soy candles, it is a great blend of beachy scents, not as "sunscreen" smelling as the "Beach" Bobbi Brown type oil. Don't get me wrong, I love that one too but I feel this scent is a little more versatile. Also, I've found this fragrance doesn't discolor the wax like "Beach" did, stays purely white, no yellow tint. It has a great cold and hot throw, it really fills the room in my soy candles. Love love love and I always keep this one on hand.

It does remind you of that suntan oil scent (like coppertone) and being at the beach. This has been very popular so far for me and I really like it personally. Not too sweet or overpowering.
