"Hesitant to use but really glad I did!" |

COMMENTS: After reading the reviews on this FO, I was definitely hesitant to try it in my CP soap but I really wanted to make a sunflower designed soap. I planned for the batter to accelerate quite a bit and made the center part of the sunflower first using a cylinder mold. My recipe consisted of coconut, olive, sunflower, palm & castor oils and I soaped between 80-85 degrees. To my surprise, the batter stayed in a light to medium trace and poured perfectly. For my sunflower layer I used two colors and did an ITP swirl and again, the batter behaved very well with plenty of time to pour. I used a scraper to form the sunflower design and was again surprised that it didn't accelerate past the point of being able to scrape the design. My last layer was one color but I had the same results...a great smelling scent that behaved well. I'm not sure if this was reformulated recently, but am thankful that my experience was not like what I had read about!

COMMENTS: Only used this because my original sunflower scent was out of stock at different supplier. I had plans to do some fun piping on it for my fall line & it riced so badly after adding it was hard to get in the mold, much less pipe anything fancy. Overall scent is okay, but I will just plan better and get the other one that I really like better.

"Too tricky to work with. " |

COMMENTS: I love this scent but wouldn't buy it again. Riced and accelerated terribly in CP. I read the reviews that said you could stick blend it out. I thought sure, I'll do that, I'm making layers anyway. Nope.
I soaped around 90', 33% lye, initially brought the batter to thin trace, then mixed my micas in, then FO. It accelerated so badly my stick blender wouldn't even do anything to the lumps. I can't fathom how any of these other soapers were able to work with this.

COMMENTS: I bought this for a Christmas soap but chickened out at the time because I was worried about fighting with it. Yesterday I used this fragrance to create a Ukrainian flag bar. It riced like crazy the second it touched the batter but it was *very* easy to blend out. It gave plenty of time (for a floral) to work with it. After stick blending it was still very pourable. Oils used: olive, coconut, cocoa, avocado, mango, & castor. It also had a good spoonful of cane sugar in it so it got mighty hot pretty fast, and it still gave an easy pour. It has a nice, mellow scent in the bar (it's harsh OOB), and wasn't as naughty as a lot of other florals. I will be using this one without worry next time.

"Very nice fragrance!" |

COMMENTS: I was reading on the questions and answers and thought I’d give some input on the notes I’m smelling. I don’t see notes listed on the description but took my chances anyway and am very happy with it. It definitely has orange blossom in it. It actually reminds me of Bath and Body Works candle that was called “Bikini Weather Suntan”. The notes in the candle were coconut husk, orange blossom and citrus (it’s no company secret. It’s listed on the bottom of the candle). I hope this helps anyone wondering what it smells like. I love it and it does remind me of those days at my small hometown swimming pool :)

"Great For Laundry Soap...It Rapidly Accelerates Th" |

COMMENTS: This scent is divine, really, really fabulous. If you like a great floral that hints at sunflower, this will work well for you. I imagine it is great for every use, but you really, really have to plan for it to work in cold process soap. It discolors to yellow, so you need to plan for that if you use it. I am using it for laundry soap, so I didn't care what color it came out. I specifically used it for laundry soap, because if it riced or accelerated, and boy it did, it didn't matter because it was going to get flopped into a mold and shredded later. If you used a low ratio of fragrance oil in your batter, full water, soap cooler, and use a whisk instead of a stick blender, you might be able to pull of a simple layered soap if you planned carefully. I wanted my laundry to smell absolutely fabulous, so I didn't care if it riced or accelerated, so I added 2 oz per pound of oils and blended the scent into the oils prior to the lye. As soon as I hit the batter with stick blender, it practically seized, but since it didn't truly turn to soap of a stick, I was absolutely able to work it into a mold and was able to smooth out the top, so it worked quite well for my laundry soap application. At the super high fragrance ratio I used, it discolored to mustard yellow, which again was expected and quite okay with me. I debated giving it five stars because they do list that it rices and accelerates, but I soap at room temp and it did seize up after 2 seconds with the stick blender, so you really do need to be warned to be an experienced soaper and plan, plan, plan if you want to make anything truly pretty with this in cold process.

COMMENTS: I'm glad that I read the reviews before making soap so I knew what to expect. Others recommended soaping at a higher temperature, I did 98 degrees. Had everything ready to go and didn't stick blend too much in the beginning, which was good when it riced. Had a 3 color drop swirl planned and things were going well, but by the time I got to the third color the batter was thick enough to sit in top of the previous color, so I finished pouring and used a chopstick to swirl. I only used a 5% fragrance ratio, was afraid if I used the max that it would be soap on a stick. This fragrance smells wonderful and I'm not sorry I purchased it, even though it misbehaved. My husband even likes how this smells. Can't wait to see the cut tomorrow.

And since it riced so badly, I had to stick blend more than I wanted to, meaning my soap batter moved faster than I'd like it to have. Other than that, I've also made bath bombs, and so far they smell great. Also, this doesn't smell like what I would say sunflowers smell like. More of a Gardenia or maybe Honeysuckle. Still good, but not really what I expected.

COMMENTS: This is a wonderful, bright happy FO. I love using it despite the fact that it makes CP soap trace VERY rapidly into a pile of pudding. You must work FAST and don't take it beyond a very light trace. Discolors to a pleasant pale yellow - another thing I love about it. I wouldn't recommend this FO to a beginner but if you have experience, don't shy away from it. It's worth the effort.

COMMENTS: Finally got to try this FO, I had a 3 color swirl am worked out in my head, the minute I poured the FO, it immediately started to rice, thankfully I was able to stick blend it out after about 5-7min of mixing but by then my light trace poured into such a thick batter it turned into 1 straight color, very disappointed.

COMMENTS: I smelled this scent OOB and had been holding off to make anything with it. Not because it didn't smell good I just wanted to introduce it with other fresh clean scents and now that I had I was Finally ready. Because I gave didn't give the scent a different product name because it gave me the feeling of being in sunshine with sunflowers I kept it the name sunflowers. Many of my customers shied away from it because they assumed if it is a flower it would be a more floral scent and this was not- just clean a fresh. My mom tried it and that has become her staple go to butter. Really beautiful light scent.
Cant wait to try in CP Soap.

COMMENTS: I used this fo mainly for cold process soap. I haven't taken it out of the mold yet, but it smells beautiful! I did notice trace acceleration, so next time I will plan accordingly. But it wasn't so bad that I couldn't still swirl the soap. I'm sure my customers will love it. I also made one batch of a salt scrub for a friend and she said it was an all-time favorite!

COMMENTS: I love the scent and make it using a soap recipe I created using a soap calculator. I have a Sunflower mold and it that makes them look amazing. The scent along with white and yellow color produce a great scented soap. Also good for use with the melt and pour soaps.

COMMENTS: This scent does smell like a sunflower. Definitely a floral without being cloying and headache inducing, like many can be. Throws well in soy and paraffin. I fight the urge to add some orange to this fragrance, though. I bet that would be nice. I can't attest to the accuracy of the brand version it claims to dupe because I haven't smelled that one, but it sure smells like sunflowers. NOT the perfume like some have reviewed (and it didn't claim to smell like, incidentally).
All in all, I'd use it again. True to description.

COMMENTS: I put this in everything! It is *always* my best seller at any festival I take it to. I actually can't think of anyone who has smelled it and not liked it. It *does* accelerate trace for CP soap so not for a beginner soaper...but if you know how to lessen that chance, you can make it work easily.

COMMENTS: Used this FO as a base combined with lemongrass EO for a Dandelion Tea Honey CP soap. Took caution from previous reviews. I always soap at a low temp due to using honey as my signature ingredient - added lemongrass EO first, then Sunflower FO and then the honey all at light trace...it did accelerate the trace a bit but no ricing or siezing. Even added calendula petals throughout batter and then for a bar topper. BEE-AUTIFUL scent and look!! A keeper!
