"Vanilla top note"

COMMENTS: Accelerated so quickly I had to do a plop in the mold technique with three colored layers. Work quickly. Not great scent retention so I wouldn’t make a large batch for resale again. It was a very pleasant vanilla, chai scent. Used max amount.

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil reminds me of a really good chai latte! It behaved well in my cold process soap; no acceleration or ricing. There is some discoloration in CP soap because of the vanilla, but I colored my soap a warm brown, so no problem there. The vanilla and spice notes come through very well. I made a batch of whipped body butter with it, and my customers absolutely loved it!

"Wish I Hadn't Ordered It"

COMMENTS: I was so hoping this would smell like it's name, "Sweet Vanilla Chai". It's not horrible, but not what I wanted. I'm a die-hard Chai latte drinker, and this fragrance just doesn't do it for me. I don't like the maple smell in it, but I guess I should have paid more attention to the description than the name :) I'll try blending it with something else, maybe.

COMMENTS: I'm giving this FO four stars because this is one of my all time favorites.......in body butter and hard lotion bars. I tried to use it in CP soap and the scent has dissipated to nothing. It turns brown as expected, and as far as acceleration I don't remember any because I had time to swirl the colors. It has now been 3 weeks of curing and this soap smells like nothing. I am SO disappointed. I will buy again though for body butters.
