COMMENTS: This tonka is so wonderful, it has a bit of a tuberose vibe but sweeter and no "suntan lotion" vibes, very aquatic. I'm loving it!

COMMENTS: This scent is warm and sensual. Like others have said in reviews I'm sure it would be A+ in other applications, body butter, etc. But by 4 weeks cure it was hardly there. And now at about 8 weeks it smells like an unscented soap.

"New Favorite!!!" |

COMMENTS: I purchased this on somewhat of a whim...I was in search of a fragrance to replace a FO used for my goat milk and honey soap that was discontinued by another supplier. I had tried SOO MANY scents in an effort to find one that was close in scent to the one that was no longer available. And let me tell you!!! When I smelled it this OOB I was HOOKED!!! I use it in a body butter first and it was a instant favorite with customers. Even though it's vastly different in scent notes than what I was looking for. It's perfect because it had everything else.. cozy, soothing, a bit sweet, warm, earthy and sultry. I will be using it in soap next! This Is now my "new favorite"

"My secret weapon" |

COMMENTS: I swear, sometimes I just walk by the bottle and have the overwhelming urge to open it and smell it. It's that good. For some reason, the fragrance formulator version of tonka bean smells nothing like tonka bean, so I use this FO as my main tonka bean note. I use it in almost half of my custom fragrances and EVERYONE loves it.

"Intriguing & unique. Very light in CP." |

COMMENTS: I absolutely LIVE for tonka bean. Alone, it's warm, rich, sultry and malty with a hint of organic sweetness that makes it positively addictive. Blended, it adds depth, sophistication and cozy complexity to anything it's paired with. When I saw this FO I couldn't pass it up! I think this FO would be best suited for blending however, as on its own, I found it to be a wonderful scent, but too light for my personal tastes. It's blended very nicely though! It captures the warmth & seductive sweetness of real tonka bean, and has a subtle spicy element to it that gives it depth & character. I used 1oz/PPO in my CP recipe, but at 4wks cured the scent is barely detectable. I used kaolin clay as a fixative, as I suspected it wouldn't be an overly strong scent in application, but it's still very very light. The scent itself is great though, so I think this would be a good FO to add to other fragrances to add a touch of warmth & subtle sweetness in a blend. Performance-wise it behaved perfectly in my recipe- no acceleration or ricing, and it discolored to a golden cream color with the use of TD. I really enjoyed the scent of this FO OOB, I'm just bummed that it cured to barely-there in my finished soaps.

COMMENTS: Yes, it had to be all caps. I LOVE this FO so much. It is great alone and as a mixer. I can't imagine a product that this couldn't be used for. I describe it as unisex, which is a wonderful quality to have. Mix this with EOs, woods, vanillas- it's very versatile.

COMMENTS: I liked this out of the bottle but in fresh soap, it smelled awful....I mean stinks!! My husband always tells me to let it cure and then see what it smells like. But I hated it almost to the end, then, it suddenly morphed into a beautiful deep sensual scent! Both men and women LOVED it and it soaped beautifully in my goat's milk recipe. Looks like I've gotta buy a bigger bottle.
P.S. Turned out to be my husband's favourite! Glad I didn't throw it away afterall!

COMMENTS: I love how complex this fragrance is while still being refined. With notes of amber, tobacco, vanilla, and caramel, I find this to be the perfect addition of my men's line. I will tweek it a it to make it my own, but it is a wonderful start.

COMMENTS: We got this scent to dupe a candle we acquired. It was almost spot on. Lovely, soft, we mixed with a touch of chocolate and amber and came out beautifully in CP and HP. The body butters have sold great as well.

COMMENTS: I received this as a free sample and haven't used it in CP yet. I'm working on a fragrance blend now and it is wonderful. To me, this isn't a fragrance that I would use straight, but think it will make wonderful blends. Try it! 3 parts Fresh Vanilla, 3 Parts Brown Sugar, 3 Parts Tonka Bean, 1 Part Clove EO.

COMMENTS: I was pleasantly surprised with this FO. It is such a nice blend of so many notes. I know the Tonka Bean has been used in some popular men's fragrances and I understand why. "This is my new favorite scent!" |

COMMENTS: This fragrance is just so complex but simply delicious that I find it easy to say it is my favorite scent. It is very suitable as a soap fragrance due to its clean, fresh quality. There is no way to describe the subtly of the sweet notes and musk yet they are so distinct of each other. I find ambered musks are more flexible and less overpowering, and with the floral notes mixed with the sweetness of bergamot and vanilla it is divine! If you need a delicant, semi-sweet men's scent this is perfect. The flash point is very high and there is just a touch of vanilla that I find acceptable because I color my men's bars brown, black, white, grey, or dark reds. Next time I order more FOs I'm getting at least two 16oz bottles. I'm definitely going to make my own shaving soap in this scent!
