Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF into mold. Cool until soap has hardened. Remove soap from mold, and slice into bars. For easier unmolding, place into freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat mold.
Cold Process Soap: Coat the mold with cooking spray. Pour soap at trace into mold. After 24 hours, flip mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release then pull the soap out of the mold with a gloved hand. Slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Lotion Bars: Pour melted lotion bar mixture into mold at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow mixture to solidify. Flip mold over onto clean surface. Gently push back of mold until lotion bar begins to release then pull bar out of mold. Slice into lotion bars.
Care:
Wash in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

"My favorite mold" |
COMMENTS: I generally use silicone loafs, but this is my favorite mold! I use it primarily for those bits of leftover batter to use as samples. I fill just to the first indentation to make a flat disk about 1/2 thick. The perfect size for someone to try my soap at very little expense.
I have also used it filled as designed to make some guest soaps as a custom order. They are very pretty and a nice chunky size.
The trick with the Milky Way molds is to be patient before removing! I use Sodium Lactate, and then put it the freezer for a few hours. I run some water over back, turn it upside down on th counter, and the soaps pop out.

"Worked wonderfully" |
COMMENTS: I used it with cold and hot process soaps and it held up perfectly. I waited to be sure my HP soap was under 120 degrees before adding it to the mold. Popped it into the freezer and it was easy to remove the soap.

"Love these!" |
COMMENTS: We are using these to create guest soaps for a local campground. Everyone loves the Tree of Life pattern, and it is great that it shows up so well in small soaps. I love that I can make the soaps different sizes depending on how deep I pour. My soaps harden quickly in this and were very easy to cut afterwards. I am going to look for more of the soap making trays (I already have 5 others and love them all!)_
