COMMENTS: I love the scent of gardenia and I have tried any different ones from different suppliers. This is hands down a winner, very feminine. As most florals, it does accelerate in CP, but managed to get in the mold in time with slow moving recipe. Scent lasts a long time.

"Beautiful fragrance, just have to work with it" |

COMMENTS: The fragrance is amazing. It did rice, as the description stated. I did not have any seizing problems with it, although it may have accelerated trace, but I was still abIe to stick blend the ricing out. I was prepared for this and altered my recipe to include more fluid oils. I also soaped around 80 degrees. I added the fragrance separately to each layer and planned a very simple design. In the end, it is beautiful, and the smell is amazing. I would keep a simple design and one that does not need a super light trace to achieve. I would not use hard butters in the recipe, and you should still be able to do a beautiful bar of soap. :) Love it!

COMMENTS: First time buyer here. I loved the scent because it was strong in and out of the bottle and I was sure that it would stick in my soap. ... However, it riced and accelerated SUPER FAST. In a few seconds my batter was impossible to place into a mold and it turned into a grainy, oily mess. I wanted to give it another chance lo and behold, I was fast enough to get it into the mold, but it still riced and made my second patch super oily, to the point where I couldn't get it out of the mold. Two batches wasted. Will not buy again.

"Worst Behaving Fragrance Oil" |

COMMENTS: I'm surprised by all of the 5 star reviews. I wanted a gardenia scent and purchased this based on the reviews. This is by far the worst behaving fragrance we have ever used. We made one batch and it accelerated and curdled, like nothing you could ever imagine, with little white chunks throughout the batter. I equated the batter to cold mashed potatoes. We've always made this particular recipe, with another fragrance and it always came out fine. We ran out of that one and used the gardenia. Thinking WE must have done something wrong the first time, we made it again and the exact same thing happened. We then knew that it was the fragrance and not us. Unfortunately, I have about 12 oz left, which I'm going to have to dump. Ruined loaves and a waste of money.

COMMENTS: I had a customer request a Gardenia candle several years ago, and I read the reviews on other products from other sources that complained about the "fake" smell of their attempt at gardenia. I live in the South and the customers are very particular about their fragrances being true to the name. Once I introduced this product and presented to the customer, she fell in love with it. She said it was the first fragrance that actually smelled like the real thing. I have gardenias in my front entrance, and this smells just like them in bloom. Very impressed with the authenticity of this particular fragrance and will continue to purchase.

COMMENTS: This is a really nice gardenia scent. It has a slight fruity note. This is very popular even with people who say they don't like gardenia. No discoloration, strong scent retention after six weeks at 6% in CP soap. Don't bother with fancy designs, the second I added the fragrance I had a "rice-berg" but I expected that and was able to stick blend most of it out. Just made a beautiful, white soap. I will order again.

COMMENTS: I love the scent of the Gardenia fragrance oil. It reminds me of the gardenia plant I had in Tennessee. I typically use 1% beeswax in my CP soaps and have noticed ricing after the fragrance was added. Recently, I needed to use stearic acid and when the fragrance was added, white blobs appeared. They were easily ground up using a stick blender and left the soaps with pink & white specks that I loved.

I do NOT suggest cold process with this FO because the first time I used it (as soon as I poured it in my soap batter) it riced up and almost seized the whole works up! I wanted to put swirls in it but barely had time to pour it. The second time I bought it I did hot process and it worked fine. Very strong scent and big seller!

COMMENTS: LOVE THIS! I used it in a cold process soap made from olive oil, lard, and canola oil. The soap is a dream!! Unfortunately it riced, but that could just be the timing of the process on my end. But I feel it added a great amount of rustic character to the soap! I look forward to using this FO again.

COMMENTS: This is a beautiful floral fragrance. Very clean. Was my first experience with ricing. Was using a slow moving recipe and soaped cool, but still ran into an issue. Blended it out but still had a grainy texture. Will hopefully sort itself out!

COMMENTS: Not much a fan of floral but a co-worker placed an order for 3 - 6 oz soy candles for Christmas, Gardenia Jasmine & lavender. She lovedddd the gardenia & ordered 3 more because her holiday guests tried to make off with them. Very strong cold throw but my co-workers said the hot throw was amazing & very scented. I used a couple tbsp of stearic acid in 444 soy wax as I read somewhere it helps anchor the FO. Strong FO but I think used at a minimal amount would be lovely in MP soap, wouldn't try a floral in CP, too scared lol. Will purchase a larger bottle for spring.

COMMENTS: I generally dislike floral fragrances personally but .... I kinda like this one. No AC or DC ... my white gardenia soap is just that , I kept it a simple white and its stayed that way, its been a year now and its still white and retaining scent . awesome

COMMENTS: I might be biased, since I love Gardenias! this scent smells just like the Gardenias growing in my garden. I mixed it with a Lilac fragrance oil that I wasn't too crazy about and the combination was fabulous. Has a really strong scent so a little goes a long way.

COMMENTS: Riced and accelerated on me!!! I used a slower moving recipe because I had read other reviews and I still had this issue. That being said this soap was a huge hit with customers. I used 6% FO and the fragrance started off strong but faded just a bit. It turned out perfect. 6 weeks out and good scent retention, just use a SLOW moving recipe. I will reorder despite these issues, it sells too well. Great in sugar scrubs, bath bombs and body butters. The FO is super strong in them, you need just a tiny bit.

COMMENTS: Used this scent in CP bars and Liquid soap. It does smell like Gardenia flowers, but the scent is missing the ending slight sweetness from the real flowers. The scent can be overwhelming if used heavy-handed. My male reviewers are not fans of this scent in my final products. I got a little ricing when I added it to CP soap, with a little immersion blending the soap worked out.

COMMENTS: Right off the bottle, it doesn't smell good. Once diluted it is one of the best gardenias I've ever smelled. Unfortunately it seized. But I used it with silk fibers and I know these can be quite the troublemaker even with fragrances that work well. It smells good enough that I'll give it another try with no additives and a softer recipe.

COMMENTS: I have to buy some more of this stuff asap because it gave me no problems at all! I used about .5oz ppo and the smell is pretty good. I totally recommend this and plan to try making body butters and lotions.

COMMENTS: I love this fragrance, although the first time I used it I quickly learned that a little goes a very long way. The scent is beautiful and so realistic. Older women seem to really like this one too. It worked well throughout all stages -- no issues with seizing or curdling.

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil captures the heady scent of gardenia blossoms, which can be quite strong to some. It soaped well in cold process soap and cured to a lovely ivory color. Gardenia fragrance seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" type fragrances. White Gardenia Flowers lives up to its name!
