Directions:
DIRECTIONS: This powder disperses best in water and water based products. For dry products, add desired amount of color to dry ingredients. Incorporate color to formula slowly, using amount as desired. Adding this color to a white base will produce a beautiful pastel color. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a darker true color.
TIPS: Using too much color may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: Approved for general cosmetics, lip and eye products. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not inhale.

COMMENTS: When I read the information on this Bath Bomb Red Powder Color, I thought it was safe to use in cold process soaping because it says "Yes" for CP Soap. I have had nothing but complaints from my consumers and it's the same complaint .........."the red just keeps on running". I do not & will not recommend this product & unfortunately, did not get to make my red valentine's soaps because I am new to soaping/bath products & can't afford to just shop around until I find the perfect "red" color so I feel like I am out of red & out of $80 plus for the cost of the bag that I did purchase. I have used some beautiful colors by Crafter's Choice but red was not one of them. Would be interested to hear if anybody else has had the same experience in cold process soap?

COMMENTS: This is the closest to true red I've used in my CP soaps. I made Strawberry Raspberry Cream cupcake soaps using this color. They were made with the following ingredients: Sodium hydroxide, Coconut Milk(nondairy), Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, avocado oil, Strawberry/Raspberry Cream fragrance oils, glitter, and Crafters Choice Bath Bomb Red Powder color. The only issue I had with this color was that I tried washing off soda ash from the tops of my cupcake soaps, and the red bled onto the lighter colors on the soap and stained a bit.

COMMENTS: Great bath bomb color. No stain, residue, or ring around the tub. Beautiful color on its own in a bomb as well as mixed with other colors. I also tried it with black iron oxide to deepen it with a touch of violet liquid stained glass color for a maroon-ish color. Used a little for pink and a lot for apple red bath water color and both left the tub white. I tried this in the sample pack of bath bomb powder colors and there was a generous amount!

COMMENTS: This is the best true red I've found but it still ends up being more of a wine red in CP than fire engine red. Also works well in sugar scrub - but you don't want to use very much. In small amounts in CP soap it makes a very pretty pastel pink. Be careful while using, I swear it seems to end up everywhere no matter how careful I am.

"A true red that survived cold process!" |

COMMENTS: If you aren't aware yet, true lipstick red is tricky in cold process. This actually stayed true red, though I did only do a ribbon of red through a white bar because it required a high concentration to keep that true color. One downside, it will turn you red if used at this concentration- I make custom loaves designed by my customers, and had to make two loaves to salvage one loaf worth of soap that was appropriately streaked with red but not so much that they would look like a bad sunburn after one shower.

COMMENTS: It's great except you have to work with gloves. I hate wearing gloves when I make bath bombs because I can't tell the right consistency. But if I don't- this stuff litterally clings to me and gets all over. It washes off nice but! you definitely need polysorbate 80 to keep it from creating a ring around the tub and staining your mixing ware.

The color was more of a pink than a red, I will try again using a little larger measurement than the recipe calls for, but I would imagine that it would take quite a lot to get a red color in a fizzie. COMMENTS: This is a really excellent option for coloring your bath fizzies. You can use just a little and get a blush/pink or use a little more and get a good, strong red. However, if you use too much it will leave some residue in your tub--it doesn't stain and it doesn't leave a "ring", but you'll have to rinse it out when your done. So I would suggest some caution, and a light hand. Will repurchase.

But my customers like it. They think that makes it even more fun to use. It rinses clean, so there is no problem.

COMMENTS: I think the complaints are from using too much. This produces a nice color. I like it and am ordering more. Just realize that it is strong. I would estimate that it is around 4x as potent as mineral powder and acts a little differently. It's like powdered food coloring concentrate. A little goes a long way. If you use 1 tsp of mineral powder try 1/4 or even 1/8 tsp of this, depending on the application. It's stronger than liquid food coloring you get from the store.

COMMENTS: On my last order, I purchased sample bags of the bath bomb powder colorants. I'm still learning to work with them, but I was impressed by how little you need to use to add a little color to your product. As other reviewers advised, I stuck with just a little bit for fear or staining skin or bathtub, but the people who used the bombs (I used it to make a bath of Watermelon), said they had no problems. As soon as I'm feeling more courageous, I'll try just a little more color to test where the limit is as the color the bombs ended up with was more of a tint, than a hue. I just mixed some of the red with a little blue to make some Lavender EO bombs - tried both the stained glass lavender and the powder mixture in two different batches. Definitely a stronger color with the powders. Can't want to play!

COMMENTS: This product is great, I like how it doesn't stain the tub. Also, a little goes a long way, which is another positive thing about it. I use it in my bath bombs, bath salts, solid bubble bath, and milk baths. I bought yellow, blue, and red, so I can custom mix them into different shades of orange, green, purple and so on. The red is great for using in products with pink themed scents like cherry blossom, pure seduction, and bubble gum. Five stars, I recommend this product and will be buying it again.

Just because you don't see the color; once you add the moisture to your recipe, it's quite possible you'll realized you ruined the products due to too much coloring. COMMENTS: I ordered the sample bags of these colorants and am very impressed with the value. You really do only need a tiny pinch to deeply color a batch of bath bombs! I screwed up with my first attempt and dissolved the dye in water before adding to my bomb mix, it made a clumpy fizzy mess! Best to mix the dry powder in with your citric acid and baking soda before adding any fluids. These colorants do darken considerably when fragrance or witch hazel is added. They do tint bath water when used but I've had no issues with them leaving a ring or any staining.
