Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder is a brown cosmetic powder that is safe for cosmetics. The brown color reminds us of building a gingerbread house around the holidays.
The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

COMMENTS: This color is very brown a little goes a long way. I did have an issue the very first time i used it i added a little white to lighten the color but it turned the soap extremely gray. So don't add white unless you want gray soap.

COMMENTS: Wow, does a little bit of this mica go a long way in CP!! My standard usuage rate when it comes to micas in CP is 1tsp/PPO (very rarely have I needed more), so with this mica, I used 1/2 tsp to be added to 8oz. of portioned soap batter. Holy wow was it BOLD at that rate!! Looked stunning & rich, but using less would have produced just as stunning a shade! I ended up with a more dark mocha color in my soap, so next time I think using half of what I did will be perfect for achieving a gingerbread hue. When it comes to browns, I always looked the other way from micas & stuck to using cocoa powder instead, but as much as I do like incorporating cocoa into my recipes, being a natural colorant, you do run into the issue of fading. I love that with this mica, the color will be as true 6 weeks later as it was the day it was cut! I've been converted by this GORGEOUS color!! It's positively rich, decadent & warm looking, and was a breeze obtaining a smooth, consistent look in my soap by simply pre-mixing with a bit of batch oils & a mini mixer. Love love LOVE this color & wholeheartedly recommend!

COMMENTS: I used this in some lip balm. It gives a shimmery effect. A little does go a long way. I did not plan on having a shimmery lip balm so It did not give shimmer to the lips but looks great in the pot.

COMMENTS: I prefer brown oxide to this. When used in mp soap you need alot of it and then your left with a cement look verses a brown. I might not be using correctly. The powder form is beautiful. Just prefer oxide brown to this.

COMMENTS: I used with clear M&P soap as a swirl in white M&P, and it's gingerbread alright! The clear M&P took the color very easily.
I also used a a little bit in bath bombs. I did not want the bath water to be too brown so I just used a little bit of the Gingerbread color with white. They came out nice.
