Olive Oil - Pomace is a great product to use in skincare formulations. Production begins by blending the fruit into a paste. Droplets are then pressed from the paste. Remaining paste is called pomace. Use in you handmade soap recipes!

"I use this in every batch of cp soap." |

COMMENTS: I make guest soaps for a 5 star resort, in addition to having retailers carry my products. There are customers that will 6 to 10 bars at a time, because they do not ever want to be without my soap. I use pomace because it is higher in unsaponifiables, thus raising the conditioning ability of the bar. I really like this coming in the gallon jugs, because they are easy to handle.

COMMENTS: Pomace oil, great basic for soapmaking. This pomace is greener than some, making for slightly darker soap colors and needing some titanium or kaolin to brighten for some pastels.
I would have given 5 stars but it's a bit more olive-y smelling than I liked-- did not come through in soap, but still could have been a tad less strong smelling to work with. Lathers nicely though, is kind to the skin, and the 4-gallon item is a nice size for carrying.

COMMENTS: I've used EVOO since the beginning of my soaping journey over 10 years ago, it was just easier to pick up while doing groceries. In an effort to cut cost I bought this to try in my recipes. Its wonderful! I had no problems soaping at all, and I think my final bars came out whiter than normal which is a plus when using colors. Super happy I can save some money on my lifelong hobby (I don't sell my soaps) and still achieve quality results.

Sometimes (rarely) you get lucky with the quality and the price but mostly just because someone has a great deal doesn't mean it is a great deal. COMMENTS: This olive oil is easy to store and easy to pour. The only complaint I have is that I'm going through it too quickly! It makes a good, hard bar of soap and does not take forever to trace. I have even made castile bars with it (100% olive oil soap, for sensitive skin and babies) and after curing it comes out pure white with a very silky lather.

COMMENTS: I had never used pomace before because I read before that it speeds up tracing. I decided to try it myself and I'm glad I did. I ordered Crafter's Choice Olive Oil Pomace. It hasn't sped up any trace in my soap so far. I will be ordering more. It is a great product.

COMMENTS: This Olive Oil worked wonderfully with my castile recipes and has no discoloration nor odor issues. I was able to have delicate fragrances and essential oils work well with this oil. Trace did come a little sooner, so be sure to know if your fragrances are quick to trace naturally before adding so you can be ready.
